So I'm curious why exactly don't chatterbox threads appear on the today's topic list? Not for nothing but with the base settling a bit lately should we be overlooking activity?

I agree it's pretty much a wasted area and wasted coding the way they seemingly bury stuff put there.

Because they don't need to contain a specific topic and the fact during the days when mods moved a lot of spam threads to chatterbox when being posted in the wrong forums.

This is the internet since when is there off topic? Also this is a forum that caters to many interests so again, how would they be "off topic" when there is no "topic" of the forum? If only "on-topic" issues can be discussed then the sports and tv and roleplaying etc sections are off topic, that's a poor reasoning. I understand they can often derail and lead to arguments but not all of them and punishing all for the actions of a few is never the right response. Private village threads that are exclusive to most members are included on the list but not threads accessible by everybody? 'Cause that makes sense.
