Today's Itachi Misconception!

I believe that there is allot of people that are confused on what he meant by "Better Shinobi".

Sinobi doesn't just mean strength & power!

He wasn't talking in terms of strength of anything, because he doesn't know Itachi's Strength...

I believe he was merely talking about Itachi's ability to see the bigger picture. Itachi was one of the first Uchiha who was actually able to look outside of the clan and see the village just as important as his clan. Thus, he was able to slaughter his clan, whether as years ago Hashirama wasn't able to pick the Uchiha over his clan, thus why he claimed him to be better...

I don't believe there are many ninja that have picked another clan over their own, or slaughtered them for the sake of the village, most of the ninja see their clan as a first priority and have their different beliefs.

However, I believe hashirama to be in a completely different era that Itachi. Hashirama was around when the Uchiha and the Senju had been fighting for years, which is why i believed he never trusted them over his own clan, because lets be honest.... You wouldn't expect all that bad blood to go away instantly.

Itachi was also at the other side of the fence, i believe that due to his open mind we wasn't bounded to the clan and could see their arrogance. Which in the end was the reason he helped the village.


We've already seen Itachi's abilities. We've seen him in action, whatever gets said shouldn't make a difference to his power because we have already seen his limit's, and tbh..... Actions speak louder than words.

Actually there has been several post today saying Itachi > Hashirama and saying he's stronger.

Most of them have been taken down, although this will help with further misconceptions that are more than likely to happen.

Also, it's rather obvious that Hashirama was speaking in terms of how Itachi acted as a person, and not in power; Sasuke was discussing Itachi's character previously, so of course Hashirama was speaking in terms of Itachi's kindness and such. and thread maker is right,hashi said it for itachi being a better person and first uchiha to think beyond uchiha mind(he didnt meant in strength or power bcoz hashi dont knw itachi nor his powers)

It makes pretty much no sense for Hashi to judge on a basis of strength so it had to mean morals / seeing the bigger picture. After all, it was stated before that Itachi's intellectual abilities at age 7 were amazing. I personally thought it was obvious in the most recent chapter what Hashi was referring to, however with every chapter that comes out fanboys misconstrue tons of things so good job with making this thread to dispute it.

To be frank when it comes to the greatest shinobi ever, i'd go with itachi.. He would have been a great hokage... And i belive if he was in place hashi during the madara crisis he might have handled the issue without madara to foe...

I guess that's a matter of opinion, i have a different person in mind although i respect your opinion.

Although, i doubt that madara would ever chance, hashirama befriended him and he left the village, due to the clan not wondering to fight anymore, whether as he did.
