I am reposting this thread because it still did not get any useful answer. Plus, in chapter 600, we see that Naruto is really determined to defeat Tobito, and was not holding back.
I say it again: how come Tobi-Obi survived a Ransengan to his face and is still alive?
You may say his mask was super-hard. However, it had two holes for the eyes. Here is a reminder of what happens when the Rasengan encounters something soft (like the brain, or water) after something hard (like the mask, or steel foil):
So, I claim that Tobi-Obi's brains ought to be all over the place, and
How's Kishi going to explain this? Or can you, minna-san? Alternatively, this is just another hole in the manga. I say, I still like Naruto, but Kishi is getting way too sloppy.
An afterthought and a message to all the people who say things like "just accept whatever Kishi says and wait for an explanation". I would like to ask such people: what do you think the NB is for? Because I believe, it's our manga as well as his. And I believe, we are here to help him write it without major plot holes
