In light of the new chapter things seem a bit more in perspective and I formed this theory in a few minutes after finishing the chapter. It's the most plausible to me. Tell me what you think.
I believe tobi was never A particular ninja. I believe tobi was a alias that madara created to operate unnoticed. Thru reasons that we will find out in the near future somehow obito met madara and seeing how full of hate he was he decided to train him. Training from the strongest uchiha ever known would certainly explain obitos progression. Obito adopts madaras plans/feelings for the village as his own. However he still wasn't able to take down konoha(minato) by himself and thus decided to go about it differently by getting help from what would eventually become akatski. Madara and obito continue to work under the moniker tobi until madaras death in which he leaves his plans to obito and he becomes the main one operating as tobi. Just the fact that madara knows obito and nagato shows he lived ALOT longer then we thought. Madara always planned on coming back thru obitos manipulationing nagato which explains his surprise that he was revived thru edo tensi. I know it's a bit rough but yea.
Makes sense to me. Like many others, TOBI's feats seemed down right impossible just from timeline problems to me cuz we always saw tobi as one individual. When I look at it like this everything in retrospect seems a lot more plausible. Shoot, to put the cherry on top tobi exhibits both obitos and Madaras hairstyles since his introduction. Hehe
But yea tobi is to madara/obito as batman is to Bruce Wayne. That's my opinion:shrug:
The only thing I don't know is which feats belong to madara and which to obito. I'm pretty sure kisame recognized tobi as madara cuz it was in fact madara standing in front of him. Besides that it's a bit blurry which is which to me. :shrug::shrug:
