I think kakashi discovered how hit Tobi by sending his kunai in the other dimension.

When Tobi is dematerialized, the consistency of his body is in a paralled dimension.When Kakashi throw the kunai,he sent it to an other dimension.

What if it was the same dimension in which Tobi is when is dematerialized?The kunai would continu its trajectory in this dimension and would touch Tobi inside the other dimension.
So when Tobi become material, the crack appeared in the eyes of others.

This would mean that the only way to defeat Tobi is to completely send Naruto or Gai ( or Kakash if he cand o himself) in this dimension using kamui and attack simultaneously,
so if Tobi is dematerialized, he'll be attacked by somoene who is in other dimension.( but can e come back to the normal dimension ?)

This strategy can definatelly permit Tobi to be untouchable, but it won't stop him to still fight with his other abiltiies, at least they would ahve a ebtter chance.

his mask is not indestructible its just harder then his regular mask...and the reason narutos head didnt make a scratch on it really simple...because a kunai is MUCH harder/sharper then a head lmfao.

And the reason the kunai landed is because when tobi demeterializes the parts of his body people are passing through get sent to the other dimension and so when kakashi sent it too the other dimension using kamui they met up and clashed because its clearly the same dimension that they are sending things to.

And that is why tobi said kakashis kamui wouldnt work because he'd be sending tobi or parts of tobi to the other dimension that hes already well aware of and visits all the time that he can just bring it back.

It was Kakashi's kunai, it is a cut, not a crack, if it were a crack it would spread like one, but it is a cut in which the kunai was powered by lightning tech making it sharper and it cut the mask. Tobi might be a earth style user.
