This jut my theory guys, maybe obito awaken MS/EMS as we know he almost dead (not dead) and he awaken kamui .... and benefit of kamui is you can do time travelling... it's explain everything why tobi knows everyhing about SO6P, and his plan to become the next SO6P

this is logical explanation :
Obito Saved by Orichimaru, and then do the research madara body, and then he dechipers uchiha tablet and at least he knows secret of SO6P and want to become the next SO6P... yes he can do time travelling after awaken EMS using senju DNA then he create zetsu

depends on what you mean by time-travel.

the idea with the s/t techniques is that the person who casts the jutsu can warp any physical object or person from spatial point A and transport it through an alternate dimension to point B. and in order for the object or person to reappear in point B the user has to complete the summon. this is also why all summoning techniques are considered s/t jutsu as well.

in order for the time travel theory to work Obito would have to be able to make sth like mini black holes. alternating the fabric of space to such an extent he could bend time.... if that makes sense, you get my point though. hard, but hey! crazy things happen.
