Hey guys, haven't made a thread in a little while so here we go:

1. Flashbacks/History

With these flashbacks, i see a lot of , albeit not all members, complaining at the length of time that this has dragged on. I completely disagree with the resentment of them however, i do agree they can fit more than they give us into the manga each week lol.

However it is so vital as it explains so much, and opens new avenues to the story and character development , in this case that i want to discuss, Tobirama

In the beginning

In the original Naruto arch where Orochimaru attacked the village, we weren't really introduced to the characters behind the name Kage by Kishi, one can argue he hadn't made the story, and the other can argue that it just didn't matter at the time

Seeing the Hokage's ressurected a second time has brought a refreshing lease on the whole story, particularly the relationship between Senju and Uchiha

Militant

From his first words and attitude when ressurected , Tobirama has been the polar opposite of his brother Hashirama

[Both of whom were refreshing, considering most of us expected Hashi to be a serious warrior]

as well as his apparent
for the Uchiha

Prejudiced or Paranoid

This discriminatory stance against his Shinobi, moving from the present to the past courtsey of Hashirama's
story of the beginning started to pull strings from left and right that made us ask the question:

was Tobirama just prejudiced, or did he carry a paranoia he could not shake based on past events:

My personal opinion, is that it was a bit of both + fear, fear of the outcome of more
appeared

What made him turn this opinion?

Tobirama, although nowhere near evil

seems a long way off his brother and ideals, even now in the story he seems far from content if he were Kage to make the Uchiha the police force

I want to ask , what turned him from his view of the Uchiha from :

to having them as the major force protecting the leaf , and also having one under his direct command

was it the death of his brother? did he inherit Hashirama's feelings towards the Uchiha, i.e. bury his hatred?

He was clearly still wary of them as he showed he was still a little Bigoted towards them, however what made him make those decisions?

all in all, just my two cents on some great character development

Tobimaras just grown up in a situation where his family has been at war with another family and he has lost people to them, ofc he will be angry towards the Uchihas.

Danzo was the Hitler of the Narutoverse.

Tobirama was not obsessed with power, just concerned with protecting the village and the people within.

He showed some compassion towards the Uchiha by not wanting to kill them, just keep them from putting the village at risk.

He was a realist, he didn't rely on hopes and dreams to get things done, it's long been said that the best educated people are the ones who live in the real world.

I agree, if he was a "Hitler" he would of ordered the death of the clan, he didn't. He came them a position of responsiblity.

Tobirama definitely gives depth to the history of the Leaf. The Leaf has been shown as the good of the world, with the exception of Danzo and Oro. Tobirama is the leader that had a good vision but horrible ways to make that vision come true. Every other Kage is shown to have no dark side. Tobirama does and uses it to get things done.

Edit: For all of those saying he isn't the Hitler of the Narutoverse; well he is, just not as extreme. He just didn't have time or reason to execute the clan, but his student, Danzo, did. Tobirama exiled the Uchiha by making them the police force, as has been said in the manga. I feel like most of you do not know the history of Hitler and just know of his genocide of the Jews. Hitler was a great leader for Germany. He started out by segregating the Jews and marking them so people knew who they should hate. He then started mass murder later. Tobirama did the same thing, he just didn't live long enough to kill the whole of the Uchiha.

Tobirama has never expressed any willingness to kill all the Uchia. He just felt that they couldn't be trust due to the nature of their sharingon. He thought they could be useful, but needed to be kept under control. People just take his blunt attitude and assume he has so much hatred. I think it's just distrust, and it's far from baseless like that of Hitler's propaganda.

The fact is Tobirama's decision to move the uchiha to the outskirts of the village, ultimately got them killed since they tried to rebel several years later since they were unhappy. The Uchiha voted for Hashirama to be Hokage instead of Madara so it shows that they were becoming trustworthy and didnt need to be held on a leash.
