We know that only those with extremely large chakra pools, and excellent chakra control can draw in and handle natural energy. We know that Tobirama is familiar with Mt. Myoboku, and that his brother also has sage mode. It's reasonable to assume that if he were capable of learning it, he would have.

Two different thoughts come to my mind when I think as to why he did not learn it. His chakra pool was not large enough, or he was lacking in the chakra control needed to master it.

Minato simply isn't fast enough to touch Tobirama. Tobirama has reacted to faster opponents.

Madara with sage mode and 10 tails countered sage minato who only had 1 arm. The fact that minato attacks right handed and not left handed means makes this argument pointless. With 1 arm he couldn't defend or react, his left hand is for holding the FTG kunai and his right hand is for attacking. So I really don't see your point. Do you want me to provide the scan of Tobirama being off panelled? He tried to sneak up against a Madara that wasn't even half the power of the Madara minato faced and still got fodderized just as bad. At least minato was still standing and fighting after.

Everything I've said is in the manga and can be backed up with a scan, your fanfic water FTG cannot so stfu. Is it because of the poll that you are so upset? That stupid feat people cling onto of Tobirama tagging Obito is so annoying. The only reason he could tag him was because he sacrificed his body, an alive minato and Tobirama would be killed unless they FTG out of there. It's not a feat that should be hyped to the degree that it has, it's literally meaningless.

And like you've explained, people seem to forget that minato is the onto one who's gone up against the Juubi Jins in their most powerful states 1 vs 1 and survived.
