[Naruto hyuga senju]

Tobirama Senju is in my opinion the smartest person in Naruto if not any fictional medium. He essentially figured out cloning (shadow clone) reincarnation (Edo) teleportation (flying thunder god) and probably more I can't think of but his jutsu are what made the whole manga/anime great mostly part 1 but it influenced shipuden greatly as well. If he did not exist I think it would change the landscape of naruto more so than any other character because unlike madara and hashirama his jutsu were passed down to generations and can be taught to almost anyone that can master ninjutsu.....

He is smart but most people who were candidates into becoming the fourth Hokage modeled his signature techniques as their own to become note worthy as kage material. (Minato, Orochimaru, and Dan before he died).

So for him to do all at once shows how powerful he really is. (though senju yang power traits help)
