Since we don't know much about his techniques I'm just going to speculate
Some of Tobirama's water style can absorb chakra
Keep in mind Tobirama faced Madara's younger brother and won who knows he could've possessed amaterasu and susanoo
Tobirama can use water wall or escape underwater if need to.

Sasuke eternal Mangekyou Sharingan
Sasuke's Lightning style has little effect because of absorbing chakra techniques

I know I know I'm prolly overestimating Tobirama but as a survivor of the war torn era and hokage and near par with his brother he should have more powerful techniques. Plus c'mon if you're gonna create a character that looks that bad@$$ and scared sasuke, orochimaru, He's bound to be stronger than what most people say. But the deciding factor would be how would tobirama be able to defeat sasuke's susanoo. Add in anything I may have forgotten about

Tobirama has an advantage by being near a water source, But He still loses.

Tobirama is basically featless and hypeless, No counter for susanoo, Amaterasu, Blaze release, Susanoo arrows and so on. Plus Tobirama has never shown or even hinted to have Jutsu's that absorb chakra.

I think Tobirama is underrated because he's in the shadow of his brother but it seems he believes he could go head to head with madara himself so it MIGHT be Tobirama who would win. He's also significantly older which means he's had all his powerups pretty much

One cannot simply underrate a fodder. The guy has no battle feats, what part don't you and the other Tobirama fanboys (he has them, dunno why) get?

well, how can we know that Izuna wasn fighting Tobirama? they would have faced each other and battled for some time after which Tobirama would have used the FTS technique. Izuna would have had the MS at that moment.we dont know abt that for sure.

We still have more(abilities) to see abt Tobirama. its too soon to decide the fodderstuff!

In the panal where madaras brother had already been mortally wounded, yes he did not have his sharigon activated...probably a result of the bloodloss.
i know its just speculating but its retarted to think he was fighting thhe senju without using his sharingon. Itachi also stated that him and his brothher heavily used there MS. So he is fighting what is essrntually his biggest rival and he wasnt using his best wepons........right

how can we know that Izuna wasn fighting Tobirama? they would have faced each other and battled for some time after which Tobirama would have used the FTS technique

izuna had a ! mark next to his face. now if his sharingan prediction is that good, whats he so surprised about? has he not fought FTG countless times? that one little mark indicates it was a cheapshot surprise attack. and he was caught without his sharingan turned on like his brother at VOTE. there were other senjus there and we dont know how long this one skirmish had been going on.
