I believe Tobirama senju to be the most underrated ninja in naruto. Everyone calls him weak because he died fighting 20! High level ninjas. People seem to forget he was skilled in space time jutsu, invented impure world ressurection probably making him a genius was the best water style user in naruto able to use water style with out any nearby water probably better than kisame. Shown to be highly skilled sensory type ninja detecting enemies by simple placing fingers on ground. Trained with Hashirama and fought in countless wars = experience!! Skilled in tai and kenjustu all this combines with him owning the thunder god sword those who posses is are said to be invincible only being defeated when depending on it to much << combined with crazy water style I don't see how he could lose!!

I agree with you. I made a thread a while back as to why Tobirama was one of the strongest Hokage (probably better than Minato), but at the end of the day it all boiled down to the fact we have little to no info on him. He is an absolute beast and is better than kisame in water jutsu and its uses. He is definitely a well rounded ninja and doesn't get enough credit.
No one seems to consider that they were 20 elite bounty hunters. He obviously held his own for a considerable time, since his whole team escaped. So 20 elite shinobi vs. 1, and not letting a single one of those enemies slip through is a mean feat, which people just disregard.

Not only him, Hashirama died in "a war" these two people's deaths were a mistake from kishi, but no one really talks about Tobirama that much so he isn't under-rated or over-rated IMO

As most legend-ghosts in Naruto, they are so, due to the lack of information, plus his blue outwear sells much of a diminishing-weak image, opposite of Hashiramas wide smile and blue uniform.

Man he IS rediculously underrated. I dont know how in the hell he died, I'm sure it was due to more than just "ellite shinobi". They better have been elite like "7 Swordsmen" elite. This is the same for Hashirama. They had a lot of enemies but they were more powerful than most at that time, it would be epic to see how they both died.

-Sigh- To bring up Tobimaru, you have to do the same with Minato in comparison. I say this because many exaggerate Minato's skills and abilities without having to take and considers Tobimaru's. I will give one example, instead of talking BS and Fan This and That.
Minato was skilled of FTG (Obvious). It was proven in the Kakashi Gaiden that him handling FTG was able to take out a platoon of 50 Hidden Rock (Earth) Shinobi with a blink of an eye and/or swift attack of him utilize FTG alone.
However, what many did not realize is that Minato had help distributing his FTG throughout the battle-field to attack the platoon. He himself cannot do it so he needs help.
Why many are saying, "Why is this needed or what is the point." I bring these claim to fruition because many suggest that Minato is better and exaggerate his skills and abilities. That being said. Many have underrated Tobimaru skills and abilities, and overlook Minato's. Tobimaru tried to survive and kill a Platoon of 20 elite shinobi alone without the help of other fodder shinobi.
Some even Overrate Minato when comparing the Third Raikage survival of the 10,000 shinobi and claiming that Minato can survive with FTG alone, taking out all of them; when enfact, he does not have the chakra (Stamina) or support .
That is all I wanted to say. xd

He is Overrated.
People know Nothing Off him, Yet they Put him High Just because he is Hashirama's Brother.
Never seen him in Action with it, Nor have we actually seem him wield it.

well being able to detect elite ninjas just shows how good he is as a sensor ninja. He is the best water user because he is the only character who can use water ninjutsus without body of water around. And he can use the dragon water jutsu with only one hand seal. Plus he knows space/time jutsus, so yeah we do know some stuff about him. But you are right about the fact that we have yet to see him in a real fight.

I agree tobirama could easily be in the top ten he could be higher if he had 2-3 known justu and a if the way his s/t ninjustu works
