It's unknown who these Ninjas were, but i wish we'd get a more clear Flashback of this. If it included, let's say Kinkaku and Ginkaku, and 18 more Elite-Jounin level ninjas, this would make sense Tobirama didn't managed to kill them.

And don't compare them to Anbus, since Anbu are overall fodders in the Naruto World. We don't know who were these 20 ninjas that killed him, but if they managed to kill the Hokage, there must be something more to this.

/i quite wish for a Plot Twist that Tobi was along with these Ninjas to kill Hashirama's brother for his revenge and hatred purposes. This would make sense.

Hashirama just got lucky to be born with wood element imo

Hashirama was a genius and a hard worker, it's not about being lucky, if you want to consider someone lucky blame Madara being lucky for him being born with exceptional chakra and being able to steal his brother's eyes and steal Hashirama's powers and whatever he stole.
Hashirama trained his own, he fights with his own power, he's not some bullcrap noob who has to steal powers to get stronger.

Just imagine is someone had to fight Kakashi, Gai, and Asuma at the same time. Lots of characters would struggle against those 3! Now add 17 more! You know how difficult that would be?!

But I still believe in the end, Hashirama was definitely the stronger of the two. But I'm sure Tobirama came close! Heck, if Hashirama is top 10, I would put Tobirama top 10 just because he's related!

Tobirama was the genius, he created the best jutsu for goodness sakes. And we all know Hashirama wouldn't be anything without his wood style which he was born with. It's all polt no jutsu though. But yeah I agree with you about Madara

and do not come with "but hashirama beat madara" etc... i know but still they were overall equal

it was said that ms madara and ms izuna were kinda equal but madara was still better than him
and i think we can assume that tobirama would be equal to izuna
so even if tobirama wasnt strong like his brother he wasnt that far from him

Logically, I'd say they're equal. Sort of like how Izuna and Madara were equal before one of them started to go blind.

But, in the end, Hashirama is simply the better one out of the two. Why? Because the plot demands it.
