Tobirama is a coward who attacks his opponents when there fighting others madara knew that and was ready and soloed him period. Tobirama could never beat madara ever. That's why it was hashirama who always fought him. Tobirama needs madara to be distracted while he will sneak an attack in.

That's what FTG does. He uses it for appearing behind you and capitalizing on it. Why would he hit madara up front? When he could have a better shot at the back.
