I read quite some times today, about how Tobirama is anti Uchiha and how he talks crap about the Uchiha's.
This isnt true imo. When you take a closer look, than you can see that he is not anti Uchiha, he is pro Uchiha.
He considers them to be even more about love over jutsu, than the Senju.
He understands them pretty well and is being quite realistic. He can be quite blunt and should maybe be a bit more subtle though :).

Basically we have seen this happen ourselfs too in Uchiha.
Sasuke is a good example.

Tobirama's intentions were good. One can wonder if his ways were right though. Danzo wanted the best for the village as well, but one can wonder if he should have chosen different ways.

Tobirama his fears for another Madara were legit.
In the end his desicion to set up a police force and give that task to the Uchiha failed though, as Oro explained.
The ones who control crime(the police force, the Uchiha) tend to be disliked and how the authority they have been given, can make them start to think to highly of themselfs.

Do you still feel the same about Tobirama and his views on the Uchiha after reading this thread?

  • I don't think Tobirama was against Uchiha all he did was to precautionary measure in order to keep the village safe.
  • Points about love well more than adequate to prove the fact one will awaken the MS when he kills the dear ones.
  • Uchiha were indeed powerful measure used to awaken MS were crude so may he separated them from the village .
  • May he was aware of the cursed fate and some people following Madara in order to plan something against the village.

He was also aware of the side effects of awakening such power so may he did this so as to avoid internal conflict and to avoid another rise of another Madara :)

What views? Tobirama was right, Nuff said. Tobirama looks at the world realistically, and I prefer that in characters. Itachi & Tobirama are the best example in my opinion. I just can't latch on to Naruto-like characters, they're way too clumsy, and sort of lame. Tobirama actually had a plan, he tried to channel the uchiha's problem into something that would benefit the village. Yeah, it was a temporary solution but better than what naruto currently offers, just a talk no jutsu and loads of "believing". Nothing wrong with that, it's a good thing to believe, but like Nagato, Danzo & Itachi said, you better have a plan to back it up. Talking will only stop the fighting for so long, so until naruto comes up with an answer fro nagato & obito then his words are going into one ear, and coming out the other.

Tobirama is one person who judges people by his preconceptions......the moment he saw sasuke uchiha he immediately presumed that he is with the enemy.....i didn't like that......

In terms of ideals, he stands directly in between Hiruzen's way of thinking and Danzo's way of thinking

Yeah it's a double edged sword, but good intentions don't always pan out like you want them to.

No because I am smart enough to never assume he hated/despised them in the first place. Like you said he understood them, possibly better than they understood themselves, and tried to use them effectively. What he did wrong though was simply segregating them. I thought it was all pretty clear.

I disagree. Tobirama was called out numerous times in one issue by his own brother for being a bigot. I think you need to take your blinders off. For the record I always thought Tobirama was a boss. So he's a bit of a bigot too, but still a boss.

honestly what he did was the most realistic way than naruto's BS cause it showed that he did understood them and look what happened. heck even the 3rd tired being diplomatic (he probably offered them more power) and it still lead to them being slaughter when they are filled with hate they are hard to talk to just like Tobirama said. Even naruto now knows sasuke won't listen to his BS

I would like to think with pre warning of how the Uchia are controlled by there emotions that perhaps they could overcome this curse. Maybe Sasuke can stop this! Then again if its the brain then who is to say anyone can stop it.

He's not wrong he just went about it horribly wrong. He basically segregated the uchihas instead of treating them like what they were, apart of the village. He went about a couple things wrong especially creating endo.

When orochimaru says that the things you do are wrong then you KNOW your wrong lol
