why didn't he just undo the edo he should know how as the maker? (thought about this when i seen something similar about itachi)

It was a long time ago.. yes, you can say its because orochimaru controlled them, but the truth is Kishimoto wasnt thinking about all that back then, it was just plain simple, Oro ressed them and they cant do whatever they want. Later on Kishimoto invented more qualities and flaws to edo tensei.

well madara might be out of his league at the moment well atleast without plot

while the edo tensei summons can have their own minds, their body is not theirs to controll, Thus it's almost impossible to break free.

After kabuto's edo tensei was broken the edo's gained back controll of their bodies, So it's only after edo tensei is broken that they can Undo the jutsu.
