It might be an Uzumaki too. They have good chakra control and a good amount of it too. Maybe one of them discovered how to unseal the gates? either that or Tobirama learned after training with them. His ftg is in theory based off of seals that could be from the uzumaki clans.

You doubt that the kages didn't learn from the Uzumakis? 2 of them had Uzumaki wives, i wouldnt doubt that they learned the jinchurikki seals from them. Soul reaper seal originated with the Uzumaki. It is shown by Orochimaru that anything that is sealed can potentially be unsealed. Opening the gates could be the process of unsealing our inner strength.

Almost all of Tobiramas two deadly jutsu uses seals, FTG and Edo tensei. The fourth uses FTG and Reaper seal. All of the kage probably has knowledge of sealing tailed beasts, Five element seal. Even Jiraya and Oro knew this. You dont think they learned them out of thin air, do you? They are either straight from the uzumaki clan or developed based on their seals.

Tobirama was known for using it in battle. If Tobirama had the 8 gates, using it earlier would have been very helpful. He can't die being Edo Tensei. Maybe he has it, I just don't think he does.

The only two we have seen use gates are 99% tiajutsu. We have no idea what it would do to someone who uses a variety of jutsu. It could explain why others have seen it or know it but not utilize it.

He could have developed it. Minato developed Rasengan but Naruto perfected it.
