He died vs the Kinkaku squad right? He was the sacrafice to let his team escape.
How did he die?

Tobirama is a boss!!:win:

He can summon Edo tensei that can do infinite explosions.
He has FTG and seems to be able to use it on Minato's lvl or even higher.
High lvl water jutsu.
Sensory skills.
Possibly a special thundergod sword too (if you count the anime).
Even if you dont count the anime, Tobirama has, in addition to the other jutsus he has,
swordskills (fought in the manga with a sword).

Was the Kinkaku squad so boss, that Tobirama couldnt take them on?
That is some squad if that is true.
Kinkaku and Ginkaku didnt seem that impressive.
Sure the sealing weapons are nasty, but if Tobirama had been sealed, he would have
been alive and no Edo tensei right?

Did he not want to get sealed and did he kill himself?
Did he get killed by the squad?

How do you think this battle went?
I wish we could get a flashback from it, just as we had one from the Hashirama vs Madara fight.

I love Tobirama, so no hate :) He was killed by 20 high skilled Cloud ninjas from the Kinkaku unit. Yes he can use FTG, but it's not on the same level as Minato. Minato was wise enough to put marks on his kunais to make FTG more effective in battle, plus Minato has crazy reflexes and base speed, not like Tobirama who hasn't shown that much speed. Of course he did show some good reflexes, being able to put a mark plus placing paper bombs on Obito. But if you look away from that than he was "killed" by Obito had it not been for Edo Tensei. Tobirama was stated not to have completely mastered Edo Tensei, so i don't think he used it in that battle. His water jutsu was strong, but against 20 high skilled ninjas i don't think it does any difference. Sensory skills doesn't help him that much in battle so that's useless. The thundergod sword will not help against ninjas who specialize in Lightning. He wasn't shown to have any weapons on him when going into fight with the 20 Cloud ninjas, so he could not use any eventually. Plus we must remember that he didn't fight them to win, but to hold them off so that the others could get away. That's prob why he died if ask me.

1 - theory that even madara was involved the proof for this is when the hokage begin to move tobirama says ill defeat u this time madara

2 - his hiraishin is not as versatile due to lack of kunai and etc ( but could still use a stone u know )

3 - sage weapons nasty to handle , so he might have tired himself considerably

4 -(this is personal opinion ) maybe tobirama's hiraishin consumes large quantity hence he uses it as last resort so to face so many enemies he had drained a lot of chakra and was not able to use hiraishin

I'm putting my money on #3. Eventhough his hiraishin isn't like Minato's with kunai, he must have marked somewhere in Konoha as a safe retreat. I'm guessing he was confident about this backup plan and decided to stall the pursuers. Being caught by surprise makes sense, especially knowing now how tricky those sage weapons are.

There's also the question then of why he didn't just haraishin the whole team to safety.....Zzz

There is this theory that it was actually Madara whom Tobirama felt and that is why he chose -HIMSELF- to be the sacrifice, because he knew Madara was coming after him and didn't want Hiruzen and co. to die.
or maybe it was the third raikage before he became raikage in his young prime years with his unbeatable sord and shield lighting armor:cool:

"On one mission during the First Shinobi World War, on which Team Tobirama performed with Danzō Shimura, Kagami Uchiha and Torifu Akimichi, they found themselves surrounded by twenty elite Kumo ninja known as the Kinkaku Force. Tobirama then realised that the only way any of them could escape alive was for one of them to be a decoy and sacrifice themselves; therefore having faith that he had trained his students well, he chose to sacrifice himself after he selected his prized student Hiruzen for the position of Third Hokage."

didnt minato say he needs to be in touch physically or by chakra to teleport people this might be the reason coz 8 people touching him at once ( especially men ) was too gayish for tobirama know what i mea ???? XD

the thing is that if at all madara was pursuing then him fighting alone is much rational than madara coming head on konoha

also i think that since all the possibilities minato showed r advancements or improvements

i believe that tobirama couldnot teleport more than himself / one person with his ftg ( this is where minato must have improved the tech along with the kunai idea )

I guess The team from Kumogakure was made of top 20 elite ninjas from Kumogakure including Kinkaku/Ginkaku. Also Kinkaku/Ginkaku were pseudo jinchuriki along with sage tools.

So Tobirama was alone against 18 Elite Kumo Ninjas plus 2 Pseudo Jinchurikis with sage tools. It was really a tough battle.

20 Highly skilled ninja. I am guessing his chakra was a bit low aswell so he wouldn't have lasted too long.

Honestly, he shouldn't have died period. With Hiraishin, he could've warped himself and his entire squad to safety without any issue. It was certainly within his capabilities.

TOBIRAMA IS NOT BOSS

He lost to Ginkaku because he sucks. He's the weakest of the 5 Kage, get over it.

First of all, they were a team of a assassins. They most likely suited eachother, and in that way they would have a huge advantage, when fighting together. Then comes the fact, that they probably were after Tobirama anyway. There were no other high bounty people in that squad, so they would definitely have prepared to fight Tobirama. Besides, even a fodder could kill Hashirama if he made the perfect trap/ambush. We can't possibly know, what happened. It's not like u can sense a mechanical trap, even if it was Tobirama!

Also since it was called the Kinkaku squad, it could have contained the Gin/Kin brothers. If that is the case, they have the weapons that totally counters edo tensei.

Of course, we can wonder, why Tobirama didn't flee with Hirashin, but he probably didn't last long enough, to be sure that his fellow shinobi would be out of reach. In other words, if he used it to get away, they would just catch up to them instead.
I do, however, wonder how Oro got his DNA. What happened to his body after being defeated. Was it sold for the bounty? It couldn't have been easy to obtain it for Oro.

no not possible coz he said that this was the first time he was using his body for the explosion justu he performed wth paper bombs

Plus it's done with an edo tensei body so he couldn't do that move with his own body while still alive.

I suspect Kishimoto took Tobirama´s death out of his sleeve, from an elementary school fan boy note sent to Shounen Jump xd

tobirama is good at fleeing a battle. the kin gin bros destroyed him in battle because he stayed behind to buy time for his subordinates. he probably died from his wounds from that battle. he's not nearly as strong as even the kin gin bros.

also tobirama is weak. he can gain a lot of kinetic energy if he was moving fast like naruto, and therefore deliver a powerful blow, but he just teleports like minato. he's just weak, wimpy kage.

LOL what a laugh. tsunade is the weakest, then hiruzen.

Tsunade the weakest?...

Let's see Tobirama save the entire Konohagakure from a massive Shinra Tensei, or punch Madara out of his Susanoo.

Oh and don't tell me he'd just solo Pain, Tobirama lost to some dude who got handled by Shikamaru. Pain wipes the floor with Tobirama.

Let's put it in the simplest way possible.

I die, you die, Tobirama dies. We all eventually die.

END OF DISCUSSION!
