What the?? I actually like this theory and orochimaru didn't teach edo tensei to madara so who did.. Tobimaru? there has always been something dodgy about that guy.

Still my Favourite kage tho imagine if he created edo tensei to bring his beloved brother back to life.

But then why would the originator of Edo Tensei leverage his way into forcing Kabuto to explain the Edo Tensei ritual and how to release it? That doesn't make any sense.

Also, Tobirama is, without any doubt what so ever, dead as a door nail. How can I be so sure? well he was resurrected with Edo Tensei and then sealed into the Shinigami. You cant be resurrected if your alive. So Tobirama is most definitely not Tobi.

Tobi is Madara's Younger Brother (Izuna)...I think

I'm just going to try and keep this as simple and facts based as I can.

According to Uchiha legend Madara forcefully took Izuna's eyes from him to obtain the eternal mangekyo... Tobi however is the only one to state otherwise saying he willingly gave up his eyes to Madara for the good of his brother and clan. Those are some pretty intimate facts for anyone to know.

Tobi also claims that he is not as powerful as Madara... just like how Izuna knew he wasn't as powerful since he gave up eyes for his brother for the better of the clan.

Probably the strongest reason why i think its him is Tobi's motive... Izuna was very devoted to his clan/brother and they must of shared the same ideals, so he too must of wanted revenge on the leaf and the clan for not supporting their ideals.

Now I know Izuna is supposed to be dead and all, but how many times has something been unproven in this manga, so I think in time this can be disproven.

Some more of my lesser reasons to support my claims are Tobi knows how to control the ninetails pretty well; something he would of learned from his brother...when Madara is resurrected he says "you bastard" maybe an overreaction because he finds it distasteful his brother he admires so much is being controlled like a puppet by Kabuto... Madara and Tobi seem to know each other also. Also Tobi likes to dress up similar to Madara and even claimed he was him...what little brother wouldn't want to be like their older brother...Oh and Tobi is mad old so he defiantly fits in for being from Izuna's era

That's all I got, I'd like to hear other people's predictions and support or criticism on my theory.

its possible since izuna gave to madara his eyes so it means that he couldn't have the mangekyou anymore. and since madara had hashirama's dna for a little bit he might have left some behind and izuna got it and created the zetzu and then replaced his body with a zetzu (just like sasori) so he could live as long as he wants to continue madara's plan.

I've thought the same thing since the 'mystery coffin', When Kabuto showed it to Tobi I thought it was the real Madara in the coffin and the only logical person to have this much knowledge and pull off impersonating Madara was in my mind Izuna.

PS It also in a way explains tobi's fascination with collecting 'powerful eyes' if he had his eyes taken it would make sense for him to keep a stock of replacements.

i to believe hes izuna. even thow madara said his bro is dead, still theres a chance tobi is izuna and im gunna keep it there. oh and controlling the 9 tails, izuna could do to, why cause he was equal power with his bro before giving up his eyes

I actually like your theory a lot. I just take it with a grain of alt since obviously we can't know definitively what happened. I have thought about this before but then I ask myself a few things.

Where did izuna then get new eyes? He could have simply stole them from another member, which is plausible since they are not mangekyo.

But then why does he say he gave naruto the rinnigan? He could just be lying trying to maybe justify taking what is not his. But If they are really his then why does he not have mangekyo sharingan since it seems you need to go through the progression to achieve the rinnigan. Even though nagato did not hqve to go through the progression to have his, which I would like to attribute to being a descendant of the uzumaki/senju.

Also why does he keep one eye sharingan and one eye rinnigan? Madara doesn't need to do that to access powers from both the sharingan and rinnigan, which leads me to think that the tobi is a non-uchiha.

Overall, I like this theory the best since we don't know exactly how izuna died, if he died, thus he could still be around. But he sure would be old! Lol

Or I just thought of something, what if it is izuna and was resurrected by the second hokage's edo tensei and then did what madara did and broke his summoning contract? All kinds of theories still can float around until kishi stops teasing us and gets back to tob vs naruto etc...

Thanks eluigi91 yeah i agree defiantly take it with a grain of salt, but that's why its theory... anyways he must of stole the eyes and yeah he does say he "gave" nagato the rinnigan, but he could just mean he helped him activate them after all Madara did activate his before dying, and If Madara was to tell anyone how or why he activated it, it would only be Izuna. I do think btw being a descendant of the senju make you able to qualify for the rinnigan since naruto will eventually get it since he is the "next to be sage of this six paths." Ok so sorry on that last part I honestly didn't remember that about tobi so yea it just killed that theory, but hey it was literally thought up right before I hit post on my previous reply lol yea I would assume naruto to get those eyes if were to be the sage reincarnated but it honestly too weird to think about right now although I have believing for some time that sasuke will unlock the rinnigan when he fights naruto since it is their destinies as both halves of the sage( sasuke-eyes, chakra and naruto-body, spirit). So I thought that maybe naruto would get the eyes from sasuke but that would mean most likely sasuke is dead and my heart can't take that!!! Lmao

I felt like Tobi is Orochimaru.....while reading this week's manga.....I have nothing to support this idea...but how many of you felt like this??
