So, The real Madara died and was resurrected by Kabuto.

It's not been stated exactly who or what Tobi is. My theory is that he's not a "zombie" per se, but rather a type of advanced Zetsu - or more exactly, a plant-based recreation of Madara. Notice in the anime when he fought Minato, for example. When his left arm fell off there was a white sort of fluid dripping from his sleeve. That's very plant-like. If you pick a flower, often you'll see whitish fluid seep from the stem where it detached.
