When Tobi said he "gave" the rinnegan to Nagato, i realized this might be true.

Tobi has multiple eyes in his possession. Maybe he got an EMS to turn into a rinnegan, then he gave it to Nagato?

It doesn't make since why he would, but it would explain why Nagato can't switch to an EMS (Like how Kakashi can't deactivate his sharingan), like Madara can.

Any thoughts?

Edit: This also explains why hes weaker then Madara, because its to much for his body (Again like how Kakashi can't keep his sharingan in battle for long)

Another Edit: Maybe the real Madara gave his eyes to Nagato... and Tobi is going around saying he is Madara... Reason for this is because when Madara was summoned he thought Nagato revived him.

I was talking about Nagato, But i just sort of assumed due to him awakening the Rinnegan on his own and knowing how to use it versus giving it away and them being weaker with it. This was proved with Kakashi and his sharingan. He can't deactivate it and he can't use it for too long, because it consumes alot of chakra.

Obviously, you have to be 1/2 Senju + 1/2 Uchiha to get the Rinnegan. Why else would Madara glue Hashirama's head to his chest.

No, the eye only affects the stamina / chakra reserves, not overall fighting strength. Nagato put up a huge fight against Naruto, using a bunch of summons, a massive Shinra Tensei, a Chibaku Tensei, then a Rinne Tensei no Jutsu, I'm pretty sure Nagato had MORE than enough chakra to sustain his Rinnegan.

And obviously Nagato's Rinnegan was Madara's (the real one), an Uzumaki doesn't just randomly get a Rinnegan if it's the final step to the Sharingan. You can also tell it was implanted because Nagato couldn't use the EMS jutsu like Susanoo since it was locked to the Rinnegan.

And yeah Sasuke is probably (99.9% sure) going to get the Rinnegan, most likely he'll get it at the final fight. K I'm done now.

Plus I believe the reason tobi gave him the rinnegan
in the first place was because Nagato was an Uzumaki and
with a ton of chakra could sustain it's usage.

Tobi implanted Madara's rinnegan (he's very skilled at transplanting). Madara awakened the rinnegan (maybe with hashirama's dna), and somehow hung around long enough until the second ninja war (which would be around 20 years later i think). he was about to die, I guess he was greatly weakened by Hashirama and so was going to die pretty early, so he planned to give the rinnegan to Nagato, so that Nagato could revive him again when the time was right. He chose Nagato because he's an uzumaki and so the chakra drain of having the rinnegan wouldn't hamper his as much due to his vast reserves. Also, the uzumaki clan is also a descendant of the so6p and as such they are much better suited to wield those eyes.

Naruto has ben getting power up that make Him look more and more SO6P in look, Naruto has Toad Sage eyes in Sage mode, and in the pass Has had Kurama eye look and when facing Pain and the chakra blade He momentarily Has a Toad Sage / Kurama eye look. So the changing of Naruto's eyes has happen in the past and could happen in the future as He gets more SO6P power in Him. Kishi has already establish with the other eye changes that it is not only Naruto body changing, but His eyes are doing the same at different stages as He gets more power.

Based on the context, Tobi being about to kill Konan, I don't think he would lie. It would just be illogical on the author's behalf for him to be lying, as the audience (us) doesn't exist in the narutoverse, and hence no one to deceive.
The question comes down to whether he was directly or indirectly involved in giving Nagato his rinnegan.

Anyways, Kakashi can't his sharingan, but he can switch between normal and MS, Rinnegan is just a progression of the sharingan so why wouldn't Nagato be able to deactivate it? Rinnegan was already proven to be a very rare advancement of the sharingan, but we just know what was up with Nagato.

Besides why would Tobi take madara's EMS, why wouldn't he take his Rinnegan?
