Of course he was meant to be Obito. Almost everybody who reads Naruto kinda figured it out. Even before we knew it was him, there were so many things that which we can relate to.. (From Obito & Tobi)

The only problem is that it`s wrong to see Obito as Tobi... It just is.. That`s why so many people think it is `wrong` for Tobi to be Obito...

That's just a small things in so many clues.
People fail to realize that everyone has different characteristics..such as Itachi keep one arm on his vipper.
my friends do little things that's unique to them.

But people dismiss stuff like that because it's no painfully obvious, but when Kishi did start to make it obvious they wanted to complain.
the hair, the one eye, his dimensional sharingan tech, they were all meant as clues but again people dismiss them and all people who saw them as hints because they were blatantly obvious.

Most of you guys are still butt hurt at the fact that you were wrong about Tobi's identity. I personally knew without a doubt the only plausible person he could be was Obito and when I made my theories known (on One Manga not here) people called me an idiot and blah blah blah, but who's the idiot now bitches, LOL!

Alot of people like me, who are enjoying the current storyline, and who think Kishi has done a good job of explaining how Obtio became Tobi, hated the revelation. This was not because we were wrong, I've gotten over that, but because of the cheap way Kishi did it.

Kishi obviously always intended for Tobi to be Obito, that's obvious now... however when he made it too obvious, he panicked, and desperately tried to find a way to keep the mystery alive. So Kishi inserted a large amount of evidence over time which seemed to make Obito being Tobi utterly impossible. This annoyed people like me, because when the reveal came, it didn't square well with the misdirection, and it felt like a cheat. Nobody likes a murder mystery when the big reveal is a cheat.

In particular, I'm talking about Kuruma apparently recognising Obito and saying "You!" during the 9 tails attack, and Obito somehow being able to take Minato at 14. The latter, while having been plausibly explained (though Obito's size is still completely off what it should be) also creates issues. How did Obito just sneak back into the village undetected? How did none of the sensors ever manage to detect his chakra over all these years (and over numerous battles) and be like "oh look, Obito is alive"? Why did Obtio have a grudge against the villages Uchiha, and help Itachi kill them all? How could Obito have been old enough to have caused the blood mist massacres over the years (the whole timeline is thrown out by this). Wasn't leaving Kakashi alive incredibly dangerous and foolish, given he had access to your dimension, and wouldn't it have been sensible to take your eye back (if you were going to the trouble of a slaughtering all the Uchiha's just to get some spare eyes, why not grab Kakashi's as well?) Just a handful of the madenning plot points made confusing by the misdirection Kishi insisted on.

Tobi was planned from the Chapter 16

Chapter 16, named "Who are you?" and who appears on the cover? Obito debut in the series. And guess what it was about this chapter 16? Who was the masked boy. Ironically the first appearance of the series be Obito in the chapter "Who are you" about a boy masked.

And guess how the Masked been debunked?

570 chapters later:

In short, Kishimoto planned it from the beginning ...
