No way, the Gedo never went anwhere...Tobi just cancelled Kamui. And the rocks have been falling from the Gedo coming out of the ground since last week. That one panel just shows the rocks Naruto busted through while trying to hit Tobi...wouldn't really call it an explosion.

It's obvious that Naruto tried to hit Tobi with it, and then he disappeared so Naruto hit the rock he was standing on. Thus, causing a large explosion.

It's clear the picture shows an explosion.

I don't know where you got the idea that the statue disappeared. No one said so in the manga. They only said "he", which is obviously Tobi.

When eight tales says 'he vanished' he is obviously referring to Tobi...
