I don't really care what any of you idiots say but Tobi is definitely Obito! Last I checked a funeral was NEVER made for Obito which would mean a body was never found. I think it was during Obito's entrapment under the bouldering rocks that Uchiha Madara crossed path with Obito! With only HALF of Obito's body being functional, Madara took him and experimented on him fusing him with the white Zetsu (Hashirama cells) which would explain why he bleeds white gooey stuff when ever his arm gets badly damage. Now try puting yourself in Obito's shoes; you were left for dead, half paralyzed, and some stranger comes along and not only saved you but even went as far as making you better than the way you were before. I don't know but I'd be eternally grateful! It's similar to Kabuto's situation where Orochimaru took him under his wings, showed him all the forbidden jutsus, and growing such a bond that even after his sensei died his purpose now turned to being JUST LIKE his sensei and picking up where their sensei left off at and making sure that their dream comes true. And one last point....don't you find it weird that both Kakashi and Obito posesses similar power?

Exactly chief, but I don't think Madara was the 1 who found him but Orochimaru. Orochimaru made Zetsu from Nawaki's cells after he kidnapped him. He was also in the same area where Obito "died". I'm pretty sure since Zetsu can travel through the ground, he would accompany Orochimaru everywhere.

I'm REALLY ashamed to be a Naruto fan when I see people saying that Tobi is Obito ... if they were true fans that pay enough attention, they would know that it isn't possible.

Izuna and Kagami could make sense = Also the plot Impact would be on a extreme level.

Obito = does not have no plot impact value wat so ever for being Tobi.

I think the fact that Kishimoto has not expanded upon Kakashi's story as he had promised is an indicator that Obito isn't Tobi but is simply another red herring (like so many) designed to throw the reader off the scent. The fact that it has been so successful despite, means he doesn't have to write further on this topic.

After fatally losing to Hashirama, Madara uses Izanagi to escape and go into hiding for years and plot Tsuki no me. Probably the reason Madara wears a mask with one eye is because his eye has temporarily blindness from Izanagi. During his time in hiding Madara meets Nagato, gives him his rinnegan powers, and starts the akatsuki. During Obito's "death", presumably zetsu rescues him and Madara takes him under his wing and teaches him to master his sharingan. While Madara was running kirigakure, he sent Obito retrieve Kurama. Madara helped out the Uchiha massacre and by this point he was most likely dying since Itachi said he was a shell of his former self and died some point after the massacre. From that point he left his plan to Obito.

hmm, I normally laugh at these tobi theories (especially tobi/obito theories) but this guy on yahoo actually made me stop laughing and admit some solid points he made. In summary it says tobi is future sasuke sealed by naruto at the end of the series because naruto may beat sasuke, but will refuse to kill him. enjoy

I do believe the fact that Kakashi's MS is space/time ninjutsu and so is tobis does make me believe it is Obitos sharingan, just not the body. And just like danzo took sharingans so could someone have taken obitos after his death.

As for it being a zetsu base, absolutely, We have clearly seen some white goo pour from his arm so he has zetsu material inside his body in some way. As for Izuna, ehh beats me. Izuna theories are about as good as the others but nothing defining.

fair, but when tobi got the rinnegan, he says that they were his to begin with, meaning either madara, or were he got his from, izuna.

tobi =/= madara. for the edo, madara's soul had to be out of his body(dead).

imo, the real question is who's edo is tobi?

THAT WOULD BE EPIC AS HELL & none of us would expect it because Kishi has never once implied this!!!! It also plays on the whole Uzumaki heritage thing, since they were a clan of sealing specialists. Also so far Naruto is saying the next time him & Sasuke fight they will both die, probably meaning he will use Reaper Death Seal; to end both of their lives. Naruto can easily master RDS, seeing as he's an Uzumaki, has Kurama's chakra, & is the PHOQUEN hero of the show lol. And I'm from Tennessee too chief; Memphis.
