And no, Tobi probably is'nt the Elder Son. Kurama remembered the Sage of 6 Paths while watching Naruto bumping fists with the bijuu, when Naruto was first gaining control of him he also recognized a technique of the Rikkudo when he said: ' This is the Sage of the 6 paths!!..'
And if you look at Naruto in Bijju mode he resembles the Sage. Also, the SO6P called all the bijuu by their name, and when Naruto transformed, Tobi did'nt notice any similarity of his with the Sage. He would have if he was his son.
And when Naruto said i learned some new names, Tobi was confused. The Elder Son would have knowledge of the beasts real names so therefore Tobi likely is'nt the Elder Son of the SO6P.
Also, the sons of the Sage were only mentioned once, kishi should have given a little more attention to them if they would later become as important as this.
One more thing: why does Elder son need to wear a mask? Nobody knows what he looks like, now that the war has started hiding his identity serves no purpose unless someone alive can actually recognize him.

very good theory... I think that perhaps, the younger son in some way sealed the elder sons doujutsu, with multiple locks, hence
the elder son made the stone tablet, because his eye powers were locked away

He didn't seem surprised he seemed more like shocked that danzo was able to attempt a incomplete izanagi, he knew a lot of info already about it and in a way it would seeem like he is the elder son

Also, Tobi said 'I am no one, i don't want to be anyone...' not the kind of statement you'd expect from a legendary figure like the Elder son of the SO6P.
And so your saying he did'nt say the names out of arrogance? That does'nt fit with his personality type at all . He acknowledged Minato as worthy of the title of the 4th Hokage, and in a way even Konan and he said he under estimated her as she was a former member of Akatsuki.
But that's not the point. Tobi acknowledges the power of the 9 tails, he says this after the Naruto head butt. Calling the beast by its real name is'nt really an out of character thing to do for someone like that. There is hardly anything known about the Elder son so its easy to speculate, but that's only because he was only shown once in 582 chapters. For him to be the biggest villain of the series does'nt make sense plot wise.
Madara is busy fighting the 5 kages,Tobi not showing his face to just Naruto and Bee does'nt make sense to me if your theory were true. Its an unknown face for the both of them, what would the Elder Son have to loose by showing it? Especially when both of them now know he is'nt Madara.

I know that people are getting pissed about all of these Tobi is threads but here is another one anyway.
Now when most people post there tobi is threads they pick people like izuna, shisui, and obito. But most tobi threads never really mention kagami uchiha, when hes a more logical option then obito or shisui to be tobi.
now when narrowing down who tobi could be you need to take his characteristics into consideration. For one obito is too young to be tobi. izuna has MS and if you look up tobis Kekkei Genkai MS is not one of them. shisui wanted to protect konoha and tobi is not protecting konoha i mean the dude summoned the 9 tails in the city:sy:
Now for those who dont know kagami uchiha is one of the 7 people seen on a mission during the 1st shinobi war. This is the only time he is seen so he is easily passed over as a possiblity to be tobi.
kagami uchiha when you look him up on narutopedia is said that it is ASSUMED that he had died some time before or during the uchiha massacre. During the assult on konoha from the ninetails all of the elders the hokage and torifu akimichi (one of the other shinobi on mission) are there. The only person missing from that group is kagami.
(now for those people who are like danzo isnt there either ask yourself do you think after all of the secret dirty work he has done to protect konoha do you really think he wants to destroy it?) who else would be able to out smart security set up by the 3rd hokage and know the land well enough to sneak up undetected other then someone from konoha? could kagami be the person attacking konoha?
we have seen a portion of tobis face during the fight with konan.
doesn't he kind of look like an older kagami uchiha?
During the fight with the 4th hokage the white stuff that was on his body could be that kagami was using white zetsu dna (which we know is made of senju dna) to strengthen his body so that he can be strong enough to fight for years without getting incredibly old and weak like the 3rd.
when it comes to his abilitys as far as space-time jutsu the 2nd hokage did use space-time jutsu. kagami could have developed a new method based off of what the 2nd hokage had. he would have had many years to develop the technique.(For people who believe that the technique is to advanced to be mastered the third mastered all of the leafs jutsus in this time)
Im not saying that this is solid 100% proof that says that he is tobi its just a theory that i have not seen posted and in most tobi theory's kagami is not mentioned at all as a person who could be tobi. I ask that you please refrain from flaming this thread to hard

One thing you need to mention is when Tobi's mask comes off you can see his eye brows and they're IDENTICAL to Kagami's. On top of that he got quite a bit of screen time and was named which means he has more relevance to the story than just that one moment.

It's not him, he hasn't played a big enough part of the story, he wanted to protect Konoha (which to your point could have been a lie I guess), the skin color doesn't match, he doesn't have Senju DNA (That we know of), he doesn't have space-time (that we know of) and his hair is a little different... If it was him there would have to be A LOT of explaining to do and that would take like 5 chapters lol
