Nobody knows except for Kishimoto-sensei and Tobi himself. But we'll probably know for sure at the end of the series LOL Except in the case where Tobi dies with his mask on and nobody thinks to remove it - which would suck XD

I was thinking that after resurrecting the Tentails, he would somehow force the Tentails inside his body, acting as the ultimate Jinchuuriki like the SO6P :shrug: But that's just my guess

Madara and Tobi had a connection, and Nagato was part of it. When Madara was revived by Edo Tensei he said ''That brat Nagato managed to grow'', and there was 2nd great shinobi war going on when Nagato was a kid. So Tobi must be someone who borned before 2nd ninja war, so the best options are Izuna and Kagami Uchiha. Izuna was almost as old as Madara, and Kagami was a teenager during the 1st great ninja war. Characters like Obito, Shisui, Fugaku and everyone who borned after the 2nd great ninja war should be excluded.

Shisui's age is unknown. He was someone Itachi looked up to but that's all we actually know. It could have been like Jiraiya and Naruto, lots of age difference but Naruto looked up to him/wanted to carry on his will. So no you can't rule him out . And you're analysis is also incorrect because Edo Madara
has confirmed that Izuna has died and Tobi is alive so it can't be him. Kagami is still possible though.

Judging from Shisui's appearance, he was not older than Kabuto is now at max.
Let's say he was 20. Uchiha Massacre happened 6 years earlier, so 14 years old Shisui fought Minato ?
He was cleary an old guy back then.

There is no way to explain his knowledge unless he actually had fought Shisui in the 3rd Ninja world war(or even before that). Think about it. When would a kumogakure ninja have had the opportunity to interact with him? Don't say Shisui was a genius, info travels fast about strong people because it does'nt.

Well no one really knew Nagato, and you're right, Bee must know Shisui because of the 3rd great ninja war. Itachi was 4 years old then so he wasn't that known. Shisui was probably teenager, but still it's 3rd ninja war not 2nd. Jiraiya was teen during 2nd war, Shisui was teenager and Kakashi was 14 years during 3rd war. Jiraiya is 30 years older than Kakashi and now I'm confused myself, but there's a huge time gap between those wars.

Shisui was really legendary.
This is not who is right and wrong. I have nothing against you ... but there are few big flaws:
-Young Shisui fought Minato and controlled Kurama to destroy Konoha ?
-Years later, Shisui sacrifices himself for Konoha and give his eye to Itachi so it will not fall into wrong hands.
Shisui was clearly a good guy, why would he give out his eyes only to want them back years later ?
Also Danzo knew Shisui, he thought the man in the mask is Madara.
Not to mention Itachi would recognize his best friend ... also Itachi said Naruto is like Shisui (same ideals and good guys) ... not to mention Itachi has awakened MS with Shisui's death ...

And i need to study the time line myself from the manga which i have'nt done in much detail but i don't think its that important or kishi attaches that much weight to it honestly. For example, did you know that the Hanzo vs Sannin fight was called the 3rd ninja war in the anime??
Also, if Bee recognized him and called him 'the strongest genjutsu user of the Uchiha', it means Shisui already had that title whenever Bee met/saw him. Meaning his age would had to have been a fair bit by then.

And about his eyes, it was the perfect feint to allay suspicion of Tobi when he would decide to make himself public years later. There are many other reasons i have, don't really have the time to go into all that now. But basically Shisui was the greatest genjutsu/illusion user, him fooling Itachi and Danzo would have been easy.
