Completely agree with Fugaku. He'd be 48 today, that is not old enough to have met Madara when Madara gave Nagato the Rinnegan, so he could not have possibly known about the plan. The massacre happened about 8 years ago, since it happened shortly after Shisui died, and that was 8 years ago, according to Itachi's age. So Fugaku would be 48. Madara gave Nagato the Rinnegan around 46 years ago, so Fugaku would have been 2....not possible.I did not understand one word of the bold part :|
But Tobi being Izuna I can agree with. At least the appearance is simliar. +rep.

- Itachi did put a Genjutsu on Sasuke, but only after Sasuke notices his mother and father. Besides, their appearances don't match at all.
- Moreover, Tobi is associated with Madara, who died before Fugaku was even born. Fugaku is 40 according to the databooklets. He'd be around 55 to 60 in Part II, the same age as Jiraiya.
- Tobi, on the other hand, looks much older. He's in league with the Konoha Elders.
- Kisame recognized Tobi as Madara, and anyone with basic history would know what Madara looks like thanks to that big statue in the Valley of the End.
- EDIT: People keep saying that Tobi = Fugaku just because his wife knew the location of Kushina's birth. However, Tobi has a Genjutsu in which he can extract information (as he used on Konan). Would it really be that hard to extract info from Mikoto?

I was never trying to say Tobi = Fugaku. I'm just tired of people reminding others of Fugaku's "death" just to fuel an argument when Itachi is clearly capable of casting genjutsu without eye contact (as seen when he did it to Naruto in the woods). So, to say Fugaku is dead is just as silly as suggesting Izuna is Tobi (unless Kabuto resurrects him with Edo-Tensei) because you have no proof.

By the way though, that ISN'T Nagato official age, that is all based on my calculations. I find them to be pretty accurate though. I am going to post a thread soon with everyone's age and the timeline of events and such, look out for it lol. It's going to be long though, but hopefully it helps us to find out some mysteries about Tobi and the like.
BTW I doubt it could be Izuna either, based on the research for said thread, Izuna would be about 92 years old today if he didn't die. I think that is a little to old for Tobi.

anyway, this "theory" is dumb. just no. If it was his twin brother, he would have been 5 years old when Tobi attacked Konoha with the Kyuubi, since that is how old Itachi was. So no. Impossible. Dumb.

Still disagree. Muu's cloning technique appears in my brain after reading your sentence. The same could aswell happen to Madara before his death. Cloned himself and Tobi is that clone.
Hence why we don't see Tobi using any of his own Jutsus, because like Mu, he can't. And he wanted to resurrect Madara via Nagato to become one with him again.

First off, kishi is the writer, and he made a specific point of showing that mikoto KNEW Kushina was about to give birth.
Why did kishi point that out? Of ALL people why was it Mikoto?
Second, kishi made a specific point of showing itachi holding sasuke and asking himself why his parents were not around before and during the fox attack.
Why did kishi point out that Fugaku and mikoto were missing? Where were they?
Third, Fugaku was leader of the uchiha clan. He most certainly had access to the hidden uchiha tablet. He would have known things about what was written on it which could explain how Tobi knows about the tablet.
Fourth, we know that Tobi was already part zetsu when he fought Minato. (we saw the white zetsu goo dripping from his almost detached hand)
This is important because we know that zetsu can make PERFECT clones that retain their form even after death! That means that itachi COULD have killed a fake Fugaku during the incident. I believe he did that to get all the sharingans that tobi has been shown to have.
Of all the uchiha, only 2 were spared during the uchiha massacre.... Both were Fugaku's sons....
Also, we know that itachi didnt like tobi...and even tobi said he didn't teach itachi all the secrets of MS, so why didn't he take itachi out? He still could have kept his eyes and given to sasuke....I think it was because he couldn't kill his son...
Last, Fugaku was supposed to be the leader of the uchiha, which means he would have known about all the forbidden uchiha jutsu.... Isn't it odd that if itachi really did kill him, that he died without ever defending himself? The leader of one of the greatest clans ever is killed and there is no fight? Seems odd to me...

Oh and you say why were'nt Fugaku and his wife around during the fox attack? What does that prove? Jiraiya was'nt shown to be around either, i guess he must be Tobi too then.
You think it would be that easy to take out Itachi for Tobi...? With only intangibility and teleportation, while Itachi had the legendary items in his susanoo this was an impossibility for him.
Did you look at the pics of Fugaku and his wife's corpse? Their blood was NOTHING like the gooey stuff you see from zetsu's.
This is an extremely unlikely possibility. So Itachi never recognized his own dad as the head of Akatsuki...?
