fugaku is not even old enough to have met Madara when Madara gave Nagato his Rinnegan. Fugaku is 40 years old. He wasn't even born then.

Second of all, Tobi himself helped in the massacre that night. You can't be dead in one place and walking around in another :| If it was a clone, it would have dispersed the moment Itachi struck him.

Moreover, Tobi's hairstyle (both long and short) look nothing like Fugaku. Plus their hair are completely different colors:

Damn it little boy don't understand that Itachi was acting suspicious thus IF fugaku was Tobi he would have put zetsu to spy on Itachi therefor Tobi knew so he put a zetsu clone in place instead of him....and if it were to be on looks than Tobi is izuna (which I support)

I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult for Itachi to cast genjutsu on the boy at the age. Plus, during the flashbacks we see Itachi standing above Sasuke on the street, just stalking him. Plenty of time to do it. Fugaku could be very much alive and breathing right now.

I like open minded theories, however you got some facts wrong i'm afraid. For starters, Itachi never said the Uchiha clan planned to do anything with Sasuke. He merely stated that Sasuke did not know of the Uchiha clan's plan, which was to stage a coup.

And if Tobi were Fugaku, i doubt he'd let his wife die at Itachi's hands. And it could'nt be the case that both the parents were zetsu clones as we have'nt seen any female shinobi with a mask in Akatsuki have we? Also, zetsu tends to release fluids different to the blood we saw dripping from his parents when they were killed.

LOL I was referring to their eye shape xd

- Itachi did put a Genjutsu on Sasuke, but only after Sasuke notices his mother and father. Besides, their appearances don't match at all.

- Moreover, Tobi is associated with Madara, who died before Fugaku was even born. Fugaku is 40 according to the databooklets. He'd be around 55 to 60 in Part II, the same age as Jiraiya.

- Tobi, on the other hand, looks much older. He's in league with the Konoha Elders.

- Kisame recognized Tobi as Madara, and anyone with basic history would know what Madara looks like thanks to that big statue in the Valley of the End.

- EDIT: People keep saying that Tobi = Fugaku just because his wife knew the location of Kushina's birth. However, Tobi has a Genjutsu in which he can extract information (as he used on Konan). Would it really be that hard to extract info from Mikoto?

Tobi is itachis twin brother! I know it sounds crazy lol. But it is possible that he was upset of itachis actions, and planed everything from the start to bring uchiga clan to the top again.

Wow..... well if tobi really was itachi's twin brother then tobi wouldve been about 7 when he attacked the village. And tobi was obviously a fully grown man at that time

so my answer to your theory is Hell NO lol
