Was one of the best threads on NB i've seen. As for your thread, well done with the analysis but i do disagree about Tobi being the Elder son.

Firstly, why would the Elder Son of the SO6P, considered the God of shinobi, refer to himself as nobody? He was a living legend, yet needs to hide behind the facade of a kid(Madara is that compared to him). What purpose does Tobi gain by hiding his identity? If the whole ninja world knows about the Rikudo Sennin, claiming he is his Elder Son to the world ought to inspire more fear/awe than anything posing as Madara could hope to achieve.

It really depends on what he means. "nobody" can also become "no body". It's my opinion though and I believe that Tobi uses zetsu to live long. We know that our body won't last for a long time so it might be the reason why we saw Tobi's body inhuman during his fight against Minato.

I don't think the elder son of the sage will need Madara's name to be feared and he had a swirl pattern dojutsu not an ordinary Sharingan.

Madara is one of the founding father's of Konoha and the only one with the motive of revenge. The sage and his son's are only myth. No one believes that they truly exists. As for the eyes, it was said that he inherit the sage's eyes and the sage had both sharingan and rinnegan.

this theory makes sense...and i agree. coz the other posts that wants to contradict is not really convincing.

like some good points raised but fell short:
"if he is the son of SO6P why he's defeated by minato."
(it's not even mentioned that the son of SO6P is a super great ninja, now they're implying like he is invincible, he is only the son, not the SO6P himself).

"why he is using madara's name instead of his name."
(it's madara's name that is feared in this time, even almost all people assumed that SO6P is just a myth including jiraiya, so if he introduced himself as the son of SO6P, most of the time people will not understand or maybe laugh at him)

and other points raised to contradict that's not even worth to mention because they're nonsense. (like "i think he's obito because i like obito and somehow somewhere he will be obito.")

Debateable theory of who Tobi is...

Don't shoot me down, but I have come to realise some strangely coincidental evidence of who Tobi is...

No beating around the bush, I think it is Tobirama (or atleast a part of him) and here is why;

• Tobirama created the Impure world ressurection technique, which seems a little coincidental seing as it is what has been used by kabutomaru, and I believe he may have used some strain of it to resurrect himself partially (which would explain why he would need nagato to fully resurrect him)
• He was said to be a master of space-time jutsu. Hello? Tobi all over...
• Tobi - Tobirama

I know that Hiruzen sealed both him and hashirama during his fight with orochimaru, but as we have learned from recent mangas hashirama has been partially fuzed/ressurected withiun madara, is it possible that a piece of both hashirama and tobirama were not sealed, and these two partial pieces are what we see now?

The last straw to this puzzle would be if Tobi used some crazy water style jutsu, but Kishi is not that stupid. That would just give it away far too easily...

Now, thoughts?

Well first Tobirama's time space couldn't be tobi's because Minato would have recognized it if he can compare it. Also Kabotu is using that because he it is a incredibly strong jutsu. HE was taught by oro not tobi. Where would he have got the rinnegan however is a big problem along with the fact that Tobirama doesnt have sharingan.

So very unlikely.

Tobi seemed to give himself the rinnegan himself without the aid of a medical ninja, and if it is truly tobirama then he may have simply taken a couple of sharingan to begin with from the Uchiha clan massacre? Since he would have been around during those times seing as he attacked the village a few years earlier...

I am not preaching my theory is 100% flawless, but it is plausible (to some extent) and the coincidences can't be ignored...

Who knows. The last that was heard was that he sacrificed himself, but we didn't get a confirmation of an immediate death. What if he was tortured for months for information and the leaf did nothing to rescue him, assuming he was dead? If you found the Hokage alone would you kill him immediately, or capture for intel?
