At F1N1X: He does have the rinnegan. He was gifted with the sages eyes. If you look at my post, the scan shows that Tobi gave the rinnegan to Nagato. A possible reason why the elder son uses Madara's name is because Madara is one of the founding father's of Konoha and it's easier for him to convince everybody that he is Madara than using his own name which is only a myth to all. Only Madara had the reason for this. Losing to Minato is another thing and would be discussed in another topic.

he would want to be madara so people, it would get peoples attention since theres power in the name.

Sounds very logical, but your elimination of both Kagami and Izuna doesn't hold. Everything we've heard about Izuna could have been a lie. Tobi has lied on several accounts already and Madara hasn't given his own account of the story. This is unless I've forgotten he did. Kagami was eliminated on the grounds of Kurama recognizing the masked man. From what we know, Kurama just recognized a Sharingan and thinks Madara is the Masked man. He'd have told Naruto otherwise. There's too many plot-holes in this case. Nonetheless, this is another person to consider, especially since he's been a changeable clay from as far back as Minato. So, he could have been someone keeping themselves alive vs Kagami who would have most likely had a solid body. That's more of an elimination to me; but, it still leaves Izuna in the melange of theories. Furthermore, since we assume the Son is older than Madara, we could also assume that the Son would be the one to have the plan and Madara would be the one to follow his plans. As it stands, we know that Madara was the one to come up with the plan and Tobi is going along with that plan (Madara hopes). For now, I'll personally assume he's younger than him then. Still though, +rep, great theory. Well thought out.

Also, it can't be Kagami because Kurama was sealed within Mito then Kushina.
We know that Izuna's eyes were taken by Madara and to decode the uchiha tablet, MS or rinnegan are needed to read all. A mere sharingan can but MS or rinnegan can do more.

My point is, if we believe Tobi, then he is Madara, which we know he is not. Therefore his credibility is negligible. Our next best bet is Madara telling us something. I don't get your point about Mito to Kushina though. What's that have to do with Kagami?
