seems possible but would Orochimaru even be alive at the time Madara died, i know he

did not die right away but it could not have been much later because once a person is

brought back with edo tensei they come back in the state which they died in and Madara

did not look that old.

that was THE most convoluted plot theory i’ve ever read concerning the mystery of the masked Tobi and a few other puzzlers concerning Madara, Nagato & Orochimaru. I can’t deny any of it no more than i can accept it either. But the timeline is what’s bothering me about your theory, for example, based on your theory, Orochimaru was privy to the existence of Madara at an age when Hiruzen was his sensei, but he wasn’t even born when Tobirama was the 2nd Hokage (Madara had already been presumed dead as of the time of Hashirama reign), and remember that his primary motivation for achieving his immortality jutsu was the death of his parents (and the mystery of snakes shedding their skins to extend their lifespan). And if Edo Madara ever knew Orochimaru, he would most definately have acknowledged Kabuto as Orochimaru’s assistant (and not Tobi’s as Kabuto himself had claimed to be when they finally met) since we all know that Kabuto has been Orochimaru’s right-hand man since God knows when. Tobi’s identity for now has not become meaningless, just cleverly chosen to be remained hidden under new plot developments for now pending the perfect opportunity to reveal all as we were all expecting it to follow immediately when we saw that the real Madara was resurrected. Nagato’s hatred of Konoha (and the shinobi world at large) stemmed not just from the death of his parents by Konoha shinobi but the death of his closest friend by his own hand at the behest of Hanzo while trying to change a shinobi world fueled by hatred itself, that broke him in a way worse than the death of his parents, which was even ironic that Jiraiya was his first true teacher who was a Konoha shinobi and even when he killed him, he still had respect for his late sensei, not hatred. And most importantly a Kekkei genkai like the Rinnegan can only be passed on/down genetically from parents to offspring, using it without being born with it directly can only allow the use a portion of it’s power (as seen by Tobi not using MS jutsus and only using the rinnegan for it absolute field of vision advantage). And i really wonder how in the world any of those 3 managed to implant the rinnegan in Nagato, not unless his parents knew about it. This also doubles that if a descendant of the Uzumaki like Nagato, then so possibly can Naruto. Throughout his time in the story Tobi (or Izuna as not just you but other people suspect) hasn’t used an advanced state sharigan (MS/EMS) technique even once (not counting Izanagi, that can be used with even a normal sharingan) considering that he (if he really is) and his brother are true masters of the sharingan. History, Myths & Legends are all sometimes based on “truths” as well as “deceptions”. Your theory makes logical sense (even more to me than the one of Tsunade being Naruto’s grandmother), but i think i’ll just keep an open mind & hold out until Kishimoto San blows us away with the truth of the mystery that he created himself. And besides, this is a rather heavy spoiler at this stage of the story, so why ruin the “soap-opera moment” for all of us (you included). I salute you for your analytical judgement on this issue, even i couldn’t think this far ahead. Again a damn good theory.

For all of you who try to say that "ALL THE UCHIHA ARE DEAD!" and "NU UH! FUGAKU IS DEAD, TOO! ITACHI KILLED HIM" Look at it this way: Who actually SAW Fugaku dead? Just Sasuke. And let me ask you, was it before or after Itachi cast genjutsu on him? Or could it have been a genjutsu in a genjutsu? Truly, we don't know whether Fugaku is dead or alive, since Sasuke was the only person who "witnessed" the deaths of his parents. For all we know, the Uchiha could be locked away somewhere.

I am with you that is has to be one of the original bloodline holders but. I think it is quite literally the so6p himself. I have a theory who Tobi is. This is actually the most bizarre of them all. I believe Tobi is the sage of six paths. Seeing as Tobi has successfully blended both powers of the Senju and Uchiha. He has both the Sharingan and Rinnengan, and uses both as if they were his bloodline trait. The sage of six paths was the inventor, and creator of all jutsu. He would most definitely Have a justu powerful enough to cheat time and death. He divided the Jubi into many smaller tailed beasts, and clearly has a respect for them and understanding. Now the feud of two clans is what causes war in the Narutoverse now. Tobi wishes to absorb the power of the Jubi, now think about how insanely powerful that beast is, not just any schmuck can handle that. If war is destined between two clans, and The so6p is the father of them both, then he would want to use more peaceful means of resolving the war, hence infinite Tsukyomi.

Lol I know you're only joking but goku from birth naver ever changed his hair style(not including going SS)

Back to the topic at hand if it was Madara's sharingan then it would more than likely be locked in EMS where as Tobi's is locked in a standard 3 tomoe sharingan.

Well what I mean is if you look at Tobi's sharingan its always just been a base 3 tomoe sharingan where as Madara had EMS so if Tobi is only Madara's sharingan then it would be in EMS form and not a base 3 tomoe sharingan if you get what I'm saying. Also a couple of other points just before he died he awakend his rinnegan not only that but his eye's were supposedly removed and given to Nagato.
