Not taking anything from the theory (Which I give props to whoever came up with it) but I just think that if he was truly Madara or a part of Madara Uchiha he would'nt claim to be Madara Uchiha but not show his face. If this theory is true whether he looks like Madara or not people already seen Madara in the war and they know he's not Madara so why even bother hiding your face. I think he hides his face because there is some other truth behind his true identity. Maybe someone knows him and knows of his past.

As I stated the mask is not only for protection but I think he also likes to taunt his foes like he did with naruto about taking his mask off this would make sense because madara also likes to taunt his foes. Another reason could be because his face doesn't look much like madara because he another form of him sooo yah

Well thought out theory, pretty good. But you missed something, in the recent chapter Tobi said "You don't remember faces.. So why should I tell you?" to Guy and Kakashi, they've seen him before, without the mask. Good try though.

He could have easily just known that from kisame fighting guy hello zetsu recording battles jeez

btw i dont think zetsu is only a tracker i think that when he eats the bodies he gets their power i mean he must be giving it to tobi
or hes not saying anything and will secretly take over the war

Its hard to decipher a single line out of Kishi's writting. Especially when its directed at Tobi. With all Kishi's plot twists and plot simplicities from the past in mind, it could be something mind blowing like they have seen Tobi before without the mask, or it could be as simple as Tobi read the information Kisame sent which had Guy's battle info on it/Zetsu recorded the battle

it makes sense because tobi knows everything madara did or knows - like his obsession with 9 tails, nagato-rinnegan thing, grudge on konoha, fight with 1st hokage, that fan thing and many more.....
but it is also notable that madara was revived by edo tensei, so tobi cant be madara as he would have to be dead to be revived in the first place..
the point made about his ignorance of edo tensei technique underlines the above statement

so who is tobi?
my guess is that he was someone close to madara (may or may not be known to madara... like his secret admirer who carries his wishes after his death and assumes himself to be madara or a stalker ) this is quite possible (or very ridiculous).

another observation: he revealed his face to kisame when he was controlling the previous mizukage(4th right?)

What I got from this is that you believe Zetsu has been around longer than the original Madara, and you think that Madara stayed alive JUST long enough to score some good old Obito dna to create Tobi...

idiot. the only reason madara chose obito dna bcoz its hard to get real dna of uchihaa clan members bcoz madara was in exile. another reason is that obito was also a prodegee of uchihaa clan unlocking 3 tomoe sharingan in young age.

in the same way when u make a clone outta obito's dna and zetsu cells then it gives u hashi's power of quick growth which explains why tobi was of same age as minato when they fought. in the same way it also explains why zetsu's body part are compatable with tobi. all things fits together cant u see noob:flaw:

No madara may have died due to another cause or even on purpose to make himself whole again and as strong as he was

madara was counting on nagato to revive him perfectly like he revived most of konoha ninjas he killed... not impure resurrection i.e. edo tensei
so when u say he died on purpose he dint come back in a way he was expecting to.. not until kabuto revived him. so no way is tobi madara.

or maybe like orochimaru he transferred himself to another ninja
but edo tensei means death.....
