Another "Who is Tobi?" thread? Well kinda, but just read it and tell me what you think!
P.S. I write this thread with the full-knowledge that Tobi is nobody until Kishi makes him somebody. I write this with the intention of voicing my own thoughts until that time comes. Enjoy!
Okay, so I've been thinking about how some people say Tobi is Obito, and I think the arguments against are far wiser than the arguments for. But I think there is a side that might have gotten lost. I think there is some evidence that Tobi might be using Obito's Sharingan. Let's say HYPOTHETICALLY that Obito's right eye was smashed completely, and Tobi was able to find it. So what happens?
Well, thanks to Kakashi being awesome we all know what Obito's sharing an is capable of: Kamui. A dimensional dōjutsu that can transport what the user sees to another dimension. Seen here:
Similarly, Tobi is able to transport himself in a very similar fashion. Seen here:
Now, from our other main Uchiha, Sasuke, we know something interesting about the Sharingan, and that is each eye is capable of a different technique. In his battle against the Killer Bee, Sasuke clearly uses one eye to call forth Amaterasu, and one eye to recall it. Seen here:
We can say that each eye is doing something different because of an earlier chapter, seen here:
Note that Zetsu claims that one eye can use the ultimate genjutsu, and the other the ultimate physical attack.
It can be reasoned, then, that Obito's Mangekyou Sharingan ability could be a dimensional technique that differs in both eyes. One calls forward, and one recalls.
Some support, are the pictures above, and the fact that no one has seen Tobi's MS Sharingan.
I would also go further to say that it is possible that Tobi has existed for so long by actually being nobody. Simply a life force left behind by Uchiha Madara that has lived on by inhabiting the bodies of Uchiha and Senju alike. Who knows what he is truly capable of, but I think it is reasonable to say that he may be using Obito's Sharingan.
Thoughts? Non-hurtful ones would be appreciated
