i know this has been made 1 million times but 1 more does not hurt.
this is my theory summing up all theories i have heard since tobi was introduced.
plz dont flame or anything.
well according to me tobi is madara's brother.(iz)
think of it this way
after madara implanted his eyes. he was left blind with no eyes. so he decided to take madara's old eyes. this worked but in a price that he cant turn them off.
few years later he was said to have died but actually the dead body is non other than a zetsu clone. same was when the akatsuki faked kisame's death.
madara believed that he died bcz he didnt know anything about zetsu.
years later during madara vs hishrama fight he was watching them from a distance or via zetsu. this gives him all the info required to know what happened. he also saw madara awakening his rinnigan at his death bed. but he didnot want to implant the rinnagan in him bcz it was his old eyes and he didnot have the senju dna.
after madara's death he took a sample of dna and made the black zetsu same way he did with the white one. but he created only one bcz he didnot have enough dna.
he then took the rinnagan and implant it in nagata ( a random child but with a distinct feature ie red hair)
many years later tobirama was killed by a bunch of hunters. this does not make sense what so ever.
well according to my theory. tobirama defeated all 20 hunters . this could include the silver and gold brothers.
after defeating them iz appeared and fought the second hokage ( history repeates itself) he defeated him and unlocked his abilities(ie Space time ninjutsu and other jutsus) and he unlocked a new ability to control time. (ie not age anymore, that is why he is immortal . it took him few more years researching the way to unlock the rinnagan but he failed.
he took the help of oro as he was an expert in research.
oro knew about the sage of the six paths (ie the sharingan and senju). so he found a way to make his dream come true(ie learn all jutsus). so he wanted itachi and his story started.
going back to iz, he had no other choice but to take the rinnagan back. but nagato learned how to control it from jman. so tobi was unable to defeate him at that time. so he started collecting the bijjus to save some time. after nagato's death he took the rinnagan and the story continues....
another prof is his haircut. looking back into the manga we see that tobi has hair that is more similar to iz than madara.
also the white stuf that comes out when he is injured in white zetsu. this he did in a research to fuce himself with the 1st dna (same way he created the zetsu)
that sums everything we know so far. he is old bcz he defeated tobirama at an old age, his hair, all the info, oro connections, the white stuf and more
