Why did Tobi want to destroy Konoha?
He doesn't seem to be a person of revenge otherwise Kakashi would be dead and he would have his other eye

Why didn't he jsut keep the nine tails, instead of losing it to Konoha, then failed to get it

Sometimes it seems that the only smart Uchiha is Itachi

or. he did that to show the world and maybe for yahiko nagato and konan to prove that he IS the legendary uchiha madara, example, itachi was convinced it HAD to be madara, controlling nine tails attacking konoha as the real madara did so long ago

Yeah he wanted revenge on konoha. He said himself, its was both a plan and a whim. The plan was to steak kyuubi, the whim destroy konoha.

Why? He hates many aspects of konoha so why not?
