We haven't been given a choice. I can't choose just because he's Obito. I need a good reason as to why hes alive and his true motives. How does he know Madara? Why would he go against Konoha just because of a crush? There's so many questions to be answered before I can say yes.

Well I for one like the idea, much better than some random Uchiha who was mentioned for less than two seconds in passing conversation and we know less than little about, Obito has motive at least.

Thank you. I think something stupid caused by the Shinobi World killed Rin. Obito then looked deeper into it and saw flaws of the Shinobi World, which would cause him to hate it. Rin's death isn't why he's doing this, it's a catalyst FOR why he's doing this.

that's more or less the same thing. he became who he became because of Rin... Rin and friendzoning are not the problem here, what's really freaky is that he is a 30 year old man in love with a 13-14 year old girl. a dead 13-14 year old girl to be more precise. Kakashi ought to go all :flaw::flaw::flaw: on him.

We don't know if any of the kages didn't die, because it skipped the fight and went right to madara showing up at the tobi fight.

I think the actual reasons for him turning against everyone is a bit deeper than just Rin dying, but we'll just have to wait and see if Kishi has anything else to offer. If that ends up being the only reason, yes I'll probably be disappointed, but like everyone else I'll still end up reading it til the end.

It actually is kinda okay to fight because of a girl, yes. But if that really was the only reason, Obito would have gone after Kakashi and nobody else. Forming the Akatsuki and starting project tsuki no me is too much. There is probably more here than just Rin.

i hope there's more to it and not just Rin. ok, him being sad about her death, the same way Kakashi is sad, is not a bad thing. it's actually good, shows he has some feelings. but the way it's presented is sick.... 'hi, i am Obito and i am 30 years old.... i am also in love with a dead 13 year old girl i knew almost half a lifetime ago'. pedophilia/hebephilia much?

if he was, he would have started screaming to kakashi "RIN'S DEAD YOU ASS" the moment he saw him again in hunt for itachi arc. but he didnt.

suddenly that chapter seems very emotional since it really was their reunion after so many years but obito didn't think much of it. rin dying is sort of like nagatos attitude with yahiko and jiraiya. just his beginning of darkness, not total motivation. his motivation is seeing the horrors of war in third ninja world war and accepting madara's plan of genjutsu'ing everyone to end it. thats how far obito will go in order to make a world where people like rin dont have to die in battle. and as ive said before, its possible konoha did it to keep intel covered after rin got captured, and madara would be like "see? see? thats what they do. kill x to save y".

There's no way that Naruto (or Naruto+everyone else in Konoha) would beat all 3 of them teamed up. It would be the biggest troll no jutsu in Naruto history ever. Even Naruto and Sasuke together have small chance against Obito and Madara, but with plot no jutsu on their side it's somehow possible...

I hate it. I've seen people predict Tobi and Obito being the same person because of the name similarities since 3 years ago so its like having read a spoiler all that time and still wondering who he was. There were infinite possibilities who he could have been but he just had to be the most obvious choice. Really wish he could have been some unknown senju or something because there are too many Uchihas dominating the plot but oh well.

Plus his reason for wanting to end the world is tacky. "You let Rin die" Reallly? They live in a world of ****ing ninjas. Wasn't that suprising. People like them die in the line of duty all the time just like real life soldiers. Unless Kakashi literally said to her attacker to kill her instead of him, I don't see why he's so mad. Or even why didn't he just take his eye back. He could go up against Minato, what stopped him from beating up a younger Kakashi?
