Possible. But I still can't get why did Obito changed into an evil bastard who wants the world to end? Just because Rin died doesn't seem like a good reason to me.

Well maybe its because of the Zetsu reconstruction? We see the Black one its ´´evil´´ as hell , maybe the implementation of the cells made that tought of rin´s dead and kakashi beeing a hero and all grow up on is head even more. And dont forget that Madara would not ´´help´´ Obito for nothing , zetsu probably passed is ´´madman´´ genes on porpuse.

I agree it all just seemed really anticlimactic, just because of Rin? Its a bit disappointing really given that, that kind of story telling device has been used over and over. I was expecting something with more of a twist but this is Kishi's story. He knows his characters better than we do
