Reading through some threats you can see that a lot of people consider tobi and obito like 2 different characters with 2 different personalities but in fact this is totally wrong, tobi is just a facet of obito.

Have you ever felt so sad for something that happened to you, and your friends and family dont even seem to notice that you feel bad? if that has ever happened to you, i´m sure that a lot of you have also tried to put a tough front, what i mean by a tough front is that even though you may feel horrible inside and you may want to cry, hit somethign or do whatever to let it go, you choose instead to act like nothing is happened by acting funny, acting like nothing gets to you and hiding away your true feelings.

Well to put it simple, tobi´s persona is just the tough front of obito, the fact that obito remained acting like tobi his whole adult life doesnt mean that the moment obito took off his mask his personality changed, it means that obito didnt want to let anybody in, in fact kishi made it almost in peotical way that when the physical mask of obito came off, obito started getting confronted with his true feelings, his mask was a symbol of the solitude he was going through, also a symbol of the barrier he put up to not let anybody in, that is the reason why kishi showed us a panel of rin telling obito "dont act tough and hide your wounds, i´m always watching you know", also when the SA and juubito were in the tug of war, and naruto and obito got connected, obito told naruto "stop it, dont get in", also when obito was about to go rescue sasuke from the sand dimension naruto told him" you no longer have a mask" since he wasnt hiding his feelings anymore.

Basically as you see now when the mask came off, obito got confronted by his true feelings that´s why people tend to see 2 different persons but in reality that is what we all do every once in whole, that is one out of many reasons why obito is my favorite character and also one of the most relatable ones too as i do the same quite often, he´s one of the few characters that have real traits you can find in real people.

I think Tobi was better because of power...

Obito had a habit of holding back and using kamui to catch his opponents, not kill them with something.

Tobi had more kill counts than Obito (in a different sense).

People like bad@sses like Pein, not some feeble kid guy that went emo because of his friend (Nagato).

I'm explaining why people like prefer the persona Tobi than Obito.

I know you mentioned each role Tobi had to play

True true...

He should just keep that mask on, it will keep away the hesitation to kill from his opponents.

They are the same..... But when he was trying to act as cool as Madara he was an infinitely better character.... By far imo.... Him thinking he could be Madara is what made him good I feel. Everything else about him was very boring to me....

Well Madara gave him Hashirama tissue and a bit of his chakra.

He was a part of the essence known as Madara.

They shared the same abilities besides their unique MS (whatever the hell Madara's is).

Tobi = Obito

But many people prefer his Tobi persona. Tobi had a mysterious and sinister vibe. More calm and collected.

Nagato=Pain as well but they also had different personalities towards the end.

It doesn't matter to me if they're the same person. I will forever prefer Tobi over Obito.

Well i think most of the comments are off topic or simply didnt get the point of threat, if you say you liked tobi over obito, you still like obito and that wasnt the point of thread again.

Not just because you´re reading a shonen jump manga expect one dimensional characters that remain the same, we have aizen for example, usually a very calm and collected person who happened to have planned everything but when he realized ichigo was more powerfyul than him something out of his plans he lost his cool and even his calm voice went to scared-crazyguy, we also have yagami light that even though he was a genius he flipped out every once in a while and in the end when he ws defeated cried like a little kid. A character that remains the same gets boring. Madara even though he was cool most of the time, in the instant he became jin his character was threw out of the window and i was painful to watch. A villian that either makes you hate him or love him is a good villian cause a bad villian doesnt make you feel anything.
