If you like Tobi you automatically and logically like Obito too . Kishimoto had the right to develop "Tobi"'s character when his mask broke , which resulted to be Obito Uchiha .

Tobi is Obito impersonating and embracing Madara's personality. In a sense, Tobi is Madara's shadow, its just a mask, it's not the real Obito therefore a very different character,
