Im kinda wondering about two things 1) why wasnt Kakashi able to recongize tobi was Obito earlier, he was his childhood friend it shouldnt have been hard. 2) Wouldnt Obito have been very young when he fought the 4th hokage ??

He wore a mask all the time, It's not like sharingan has x-ray vision. Kakashi probably also wouldn't think it was him because his friend "Obito" died when they were kids. It was traumatizing to Kakashi, he'd be completely oblivious to a guy wearing a mask.


Yeh he would have been probably Naruto's age right now.

Because he was under the assumption he was dead.You don't go around wondering if one of the many people you come across in your life as hard working shinobi is actually one of your childhood friends turned evil.If he knew right away it would of been very convoluted
