[Theory] Tobi met Nagato after Jiraiya Left

Taking from this manga we just saw I came to the idea that maybe Madara, Tobi, and Nagato met after Jiraiya left. But in order for this little theory to work the masked man from 583 has to be Tobi. Otherwise my theory fails but then again it's just that....a theory.

I can't quite place it all together but for some reason here are some points that intrigued me.

- Danzo was present when Hanzo decided to kill the leaders of Akatsuki
- Danzo was in cahoots with Orochimaru
- Orochimaru was in root? (not too sure)
- If I remember correctly, Tobi mentions somewhere that he met Nagato before he started Akatsuki
- How would Tobi know about some fodder kid in a war torn country?

I think that Tobi may have had a hand in leading the confrontation that involved Nagato unleashing the true power of the Rinnegan. I find it too convinient if I believe that Madara & Tobi met Nagato as a kid. I know for sure Nagato was devastated after Yahiko's death. So I am sure that was a perfect time to manipulate him even with Konan present.

To me it sounds like with Sasuke and the death of Itachi.

Madara was probably following Nagato since he was very young. He was "chosen" to receive the Rinnegan as the real Madara clearly wondered if he had been revived using the Rinne Tensei.

Tobi probably murdered his parents and controlled the ninja who attacked Yahiko and Nagato. This is when Tobi might have transplanted the Rinnegan into Nagato somehow. Nagato claims he "blacked out" and woke up with the Rinnegan and the ninja dead at his feet.

I think Tobi had a role in Nagato's life since the very beginning (of course without anyone noticing) and continued to do so after Jiraiya left.

Well...What I was suggesting that they didn't know about Nagato at all until they heard about him and his Rinnegan. In other words, instead of actually transplanting the eyes on him maybe Tobi was being metaphorical. Maybe he meant that he helped unleash the real powers of the Rinnegan by instigating and causing Nagato to go into crazy mode.

Sounds the same as when Nagato's path instigated the manifestation of the kyuubi in Naruto back in Invasion of Pain.

One of the things I am getting at is how in the world would a ninja like Madara/Tobi know about Nagato? I doubt they saw him and said, "This kid has the Rinnegan". There has to be a situation that they heard about it and then decided to act. It may have been a mere whim by a dying Madara to leave his powers with Nagato.

Besides we don't even know for sure if his eyes WERE transplanted. The word give can have two different meanings: Literal and/or Figurative.

Stop this it was not Tobi, it was Madara, Madara set a hole series of events in motion before His death, Tobi was supposed to follow it to the letter,but after Madara's death Tobi change the plans including Having Nagato bring back Madara back to life. Tobi has taken credit for Madara's plans and if Naruto starts kicking His but Tobi will run for help and be face to face with Madara and have to explain why He did not follow His plan. Tobi might die at Madara's hands for His betrayal.

Nagato awoke the rinngen, dont think it would happen if it were transplanted physcally. But then again kahashi could activate MS despite being a transplant.

What is intresting you would expect nagato to deactiuvate his rinngean simulat to how kahashi can devaite is MS. If they were both transplants.

see not all is what it seems. And nagato and madara look almost the same so there. lol

hmm, well there is the red hair, and also the question of the uzumaki clan being destroyed, although i think that that happened after nagato was 7 tbh (kushina is younger right, and she was around 10 when she went to konoha, and the uzumaki clan wasn't wiped out yet). so i'm not sure why nagato ended up in amekagure if his clan was still there... maybe tobi kidnapped him as a kid or something. but the point is, that tobi or madara giving nagato the rinnegan and him meeting nagato after jiraiya left aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.

although you're probably right, about orochimaru. imo, orochimaru,danzo, and whoever tobi is are all connected.
