tobi =/= madara and kabuto?

i was re-reading a few old chapters and i ran across chapter 521.

lately ive been begining to think that tobi might actually not be the real madara. i'll be honest and say that i was skeptical initially when tobi claimed he was madara, but changed my mind as i could not find any real evidence to support my thoughts.

Chapter 521, page 2 - in the bottom right panel, kabuto says: "i could become even more famous than, say... Uchiha Madara." imo, he could have just said "you", but he didnt. so maybe kabuto knows that tobi isnt actually madara.

also, in chapter 553, page 12 - kabuto says he needs some extra time. i believe that is because he is able to summon the sage of six paths (So6P) himself. he says in Chapter 521, page 4 - that he will learn the secrets of the So6P. maybe he needs some of those secrets to control So6P.


as for who is tobi is in reality? i want to believe he is izuna, madara's brother. i read somewhere he is supposed to be dead, according to one of the databooks, but i dont know much about how databooks work, so i cant say if its a fact or not.

just a theory, would like to hear your opinions.

hundreds upon hundreds of people believe it isnt the real madara, others just like you even believe that its izuna, but all of those posts have one think in common that make this thread poop, they don't have SUPPORTING EXPLANATIONS as to WHY you think its izuna, elaborate pleasee because otherwise this is just like every other "WHO IS TOBI REALLY" post.(on a side note) it isnt uncommon for people to talk in the third person in japanese culture, so its not THAT wierd that kabuto says uchiha madara instead of you, HOWEVER the way kishi has been writing his manga i wouldn't doubt that little things like that really are clues, and that you are probably on the right path

Tobi was just a name Madara used to hide his true identity.

why i think its izuna? tobi obviously wants revenge on konoha for (1) the first hokage defeating madara and (2) the senju clan (or konoha) using the uchihas. however, as the story goes, madara was defeated by the first hokage. it's quite possible that izuna was there along side madara when the battle was happening and izuna collected the necessary things such as the first hokage's dna(?) and madara's eyes among other things. now i know i dont have a very solid argument yet (with more specific locations in the manga to point out), but when i was initially thinking of this theory, it made sense. lol.

P.S. oh, one of the other reasons why i thought it was izuna was because of the coffin that kabuto has, the one he showed to tobi. its possible the coffin has the real madara's body and that tobi is actually izuna. ofcourse, it could work the opposite way, which would mean madara is tobi, and the coffin contains izuna's body. since they were rivals in the past (as brothers), they would know how to defeat each other, or at least have a plan they can use to set each other back.

the third possibility i have in my mind about the coffin is that it contains the sage of six paths, but thats a bit of a stretch.
