Before we knew who tobi actually was, and everybody was making up theories, speculating en blabla. who did you
always think that was tobi that time, were you really sure. I actually always thought it'd be obito because
of the sharingan eye, and simply if you say tobi 2 times, you'll geto TobiTobi

I thought it was Obito or Madara. Obito because of the Hair and because of his one Sharingan and his Name Tobito. And Madara because ... I mean who didn't think atleast one time that it could be Madara? He acted so well as him + his colossal knowledge about the Ninja World.

It was impossible for him to be Izuna, as Madara clearly stated he was dead and knew 'Tobi'.

I had three guesses -

My first guess was obito, never doubted it until I saw this:

There was also the fact that tobi & izuna have the same blood type, height, & body weight :|

My 2nd guess was izuna & I thought it was him for a long time because of the above, then I saw this:

After that he resembled obito way too much (+ zetsu dna & no "wrinkles" on the left side of his face) & I stuck with that answer as my 3rd guess until the end. I started doing a bit of research too but I was a noob member at the time & was just enjoying reading sir derp's threads on the subject.

I was one of the people that thought it was Obito but got bashed for thinking that. At the time there was just no way it could be Obito. It was too simple and Kishi would never do that...

If I remember correctly back in the good old Tobi days I made the unique theory that Tobi was actually Tobi. I liked to think that Tobi was his own character and that there was no mystery person behind him, why? Because I liked Tobi and because I thought it would be a pleasant surprise.

Later on I began to wonder if Tobi was perhaps this man:
