Tobi is Spiral Zetsu?

Remember how funny Tobi used to be when he was teamed up w/ Deidara. That Tobi was like the polar opposite of the Obito that we have come to know. My question is since Obito fused with spiral Zetsu is it possible that spiral Zetsu was the personality of the original Tobi instead of Obito.
