EDIT: Madara would have lost the fight with Konan since he doesn't have Izanagi. He would of also lost to Minato if he would have fought like Tobi, with just Taijutsu.

Actually, No. It is not different.

Well... one can argue that the EMS is borrowed powers aswell since the eyes of the one possessing it is not his/her(?) own. And Naruto being able to enter KCM and BM is the same as Sasuke is able to use MS and EMS, both are able to achieve such powers because of their bloodline and talent.

At least, that's what I think...
