Tobi: Incomplete and Rinne Tensei

This is a theory I've been thinking about and working on for a few weeks now, so i hope you enjoy it.

By this point, we all know that Tobi's true identity is Obito Uchiha, and that he hates Kakashi and the ninja world for letting Rin, the love of his life, die.

Obito was undoubtedly in love with Rin. She was everything to him. She completed him, even to the point of hating and trying to murder his closest friend because he let her die.

Now, we also know that Tobi/Obito was the one, or one of the creators of the Moon's Eye plan. The plan to put the world into the infinite Tsukuyomi in order to halt the chaos and war the ninja world is fated to create. Being in war and nearly losing his life first hand is a great motivator for these thoughts, and may have contributed to the creation of this plan. However, the plan also seemed to revolve around the resurrection of Madara Uchiha, namely, but the Rinne Tensei technique used by Nagato himself in order to bring the people of Konoha back to life.

Originally we were led to believe, and are still led to believe that the plan was to use Nagato and his borrowed Rinnegan (given to him by Tobi from Madara most likely) in order to master the Rinnegan to the point where he could use the Rinne Tensei proficiently enough to bring Madara back to life. However, he then defected from Akatsuki and betrayed Tobi by using it on the people of Konoha instead.

Also, as we know, Tobi was extremely shocked to see Madara in Kabuto's 6th coffin. It has also been hinted at that Tobi/Obito has not been following the plan he had with Madara to the letter.

My theory is that Tobi truly wanted Nagato's Rinne Tensei for his own purposes. However! I believe that Tobi really wanted to use the Rinne Tensei on.... Rin!

Bear with me. Rin was the love of Obito's life. She was everything to him. His last thoughts were about how he never had the chance to tell her his feelings. I might even go further and say that Tobi's plans for the infinite Tsukuyomi is to create a world in which there is no war, and a world in which he can still be with Rin forever.

I don't know if you've ever lost the woman you loved, but when you do you feel empty and lost. You are a shell of your former self unable to think of anything but her, and willing to do anything to see her again.
I believe this is what Obito/Tobi was referring to in these panels.

Clearly Tobi is not a literal shell of his former self, as he is able to do battle on par with Madara himself as he has been fighting the 8 and 9 tails as well as the top two jonin of the leaf village one of which was using Tobi's own power against him, and his near death left him in no way handicapped even anywhere near the level that Nagato was.

In conclusion, and as a summary, I believe that Tobi/Obito intended to use the rinne tensei on the love of his life, Rin, rather than Madara, as he did not need Madara to complete the Moon's eye plan, and planned on living in the Infinite Tsukuyomi in order to be with Rin forever, and end the ninja world's wars forever.

this is actually kinda good, a little far fetched at times, but Kishi definitely left a lot of hints in the manga back when Tobi was "Madara"

That is a great effort and i think it's true but the thing is the Moon's Eye Plan was planned by Madara not Madara and Obito when Rin died Madara promised Obito to use Infinite Tsukuyomi to be with Rin forever just as you said so Obito went collecting bijuu
and other thing if he was intending to use Nagato's RinneTensei to revive Rin why did he still go after the bijuu?!

While he did want to be with rin, there was still the problem of the constant turmoil within the ninja world, as that's what caused his near death, and probably what caused Rin's death. In the scene when he's talking at the kage summit he says that not only will he become complete, but the plan also has other repercussions. And where did you get your speculations from?

It's just a theory that someone like Obito who was as dumb as Naruto but with sharingan can't be one of the masterminds of the MEP and considering the part about collecting bijuu you answered that he wanted the world to be at peace so that he and Rin live together.
