First of all as the thread says, I have come to find that Danzo and Tobi Have aided one another in the past.This is the reason for Tobi(Was Madara at the time) saying wat he says here during the impending fight with Sasuke.
This Manga page cause me to contemplate why Tobi said this. Many people would just say it is wat it is. But as I dove deeper into my mind I developed a theory(probably already thought of).
What if the reason for the meet with Tobi(Madara) At the time around the Uchiha Massacre was simply for one reason. To ensure the Annihilation of the Uchiha.This was an opportunity for Danzo to protect the village(Danzo truely cares about the village but has a the wrong motive) and attain some of the uchihas power.Danzo was not very confident that itachi would complete his mission due to his aatchments to them. Since Itachi truely loved the village he reported to Danzo that Madara was around.(Keep in mind itachi doesn't entirely trust Madara which is why he would tell Danzo before anyone else).Later Danzo approaches Madara(Tobi) and ask for his aid.
Okay during this meet,Madara promised he would cooperate only if Danzo does him a favor.This favor was for Danzo to cause the death of Yahiko. Madara(Tobi)tells Danzo that Yahikos new group(Akatsuki) would threaten Danzo if he was left alon.Because of this Danzo would approach Yahiko later on with Hanzo.But why did Madara want Yahiko dead you ask? Only because Yahiko was the reason why Nagato would not work with Tobi(Madara)
After the death of Yahiko,Nagato would understand what madara(tobi) meant and be easily manipulated by him.
