Tobi and Zetsu

From the latest Shippuden episode, I observed an interesting fact about Tobi. Earlier this year I made a thread about my Tobi theory and the basis of it believed that Tobi was a combination of the left Black Zetsu and another person. (In the thread I stated it was possibly Izuna).

After I watched Minato damage Tobi with his Rasengan, I saw that Tobi's left arm had started to ooze off in a thick manner almost like liquid. I noticed that the manga showed this as well, however someone was able to argue that it could have been blood instead of another substance. In the manga it was indistinguishable to determine whether it was blood or a white substance oozing off his arm, so I decided that my theory was invalid.

But now I some more probable evidence to state that Zetsu and Tobi are somehow related with one another aside from just being Akatsuki partners. Since the substance was not blood, it supports that his tangible body is not only regular flesh on its own. There has to be more to his physical body than it seems. Heres some other things Ive noticed that might point out more:
1) Wherever Tobi is, Zetsu is not far behind him.

2) Also, when we see the sides of Tobi's face while Sasuke and Naruto quarrel, Tobi is standing in front of a Zetsu like plant. He is presumably attending to some part of his own body before Zetsu calls for him.

3)I also noticed that Tobi was able to find Minato with ease after he failed to catch him on the Hokage Monument. I believe Tobi's tracking skills in the series is due to the fact that he has some Black Zetsu abilities. Black Zetsu was shown to being able to find information just by touching a tree, stating that he "is a part of the land". Maybe Tobi is able to find people with ease due to this ability.

4)When Naruto clashed heads with Tobi, we know that Tobi couldnt phase through. I thought this was kind of strange, so I found a few things. When Naruto unlocked his Tailed Mode for the first time, Yamato said that his chakra made the Mokuton begin to act up. Naruto crashed into Tobi in this mode as well. So if Black Zetsu had Hashirama's DNA and Mokuton abilities, maybe this rendered his Phasing ability useless. Idk about this one though.

Please dont flame me down. I am just interested in the Tobi mystery and want to share what I've noticed to help others who are also curious. Feel free to share anything supporting or providing criticism for my finds

if you notice tobi's hand falls off also during his fight with minato. and like like just cleanly falls off, it basically oozes off when minato hits him the second time after the rasengan. EDIT: I think it was after the rasengan if i remember correctly, not 100% sure, but it definitely does fall off.

Yeah I did notice that. It makes sense if his body is part Zetsu, seeing as his flesh would be a little more viscuous and plant like

It seems to only be his arms though that are like that, i think. Minato hit him with the rasengan in the back and it looked like real flesh there. Still he definitely has some sort of zetsu like property to him.

I used to dismiss any theory on Tobi having anything to do with Zetsu but after seeing his masked semi-revealed with his fight against Konan, I really think some Zetsu is involved. The melting arm is definitely strange and non-humanlike.

He's probably one of the most interesting and mysterious characters in the manga.

About this part i also think its strange because you see Tobi pass through naruto just as guy and kakashi get there. Also Tobi makes a reference to his "special" mask. I believe now that it was the mask that couldnt pass through Naruto not tobi.

But I do agree with the rest of what you said except the Izuna part. I cant decide who Zetsu has merged with :S

Gouryuuka that is a cool theory with a lot of proof and i will tell you my new theory and what did i thougt in the begining...

1) at first I new that madara was in the box kabuto show to tobi but i still tougth it madara why here is my first theory

A)theory one-in the bigining madara at is last moment in the battle with the first hokage he aquaired the rinnegan with the power of the rinnegan the one that tobi explain to konah that he tells "the izanagi connects with the rinnegan by the power to become something real into a dream, the power of the Ying-yang, one that give forms and the other that gives life to that form, that is the way rikodu sennin creates the tailed best. So i thougth madara create someone that he could transfer his brain or memory so he could still be alive and i question you who in tha maga have is body in the color of ying-yang "zetsu" he created zetsu and transfers his mind in one of the clone of zetsu that would explain every moment tobi shows something white of his body like when he throw his arm to danzo s bodyguard or when the 4 hokage smack him with the rasengan and his arm fall of

in the hokage meeting he told everybody his body is still injured by that batlle of course because he have is ocular power but not his physical power and he would need the ten biju to recover his physical body and then dominate the world two thing that is in favor of my theory madara was on the box that means there is his body other thing how come did tobi regenarate his arm??? zetsu abilities and in the manga episode 592 madara said is time to go for the nine tailes how he knows everything??? he was dead all this years how come he knows the moon plan but another interesting thing happen

B) theory 2-SUSKE said "Orochimaru is still alive" at fist i said yea because is kabuto then i said to my self if not because kabuto what did he mean then i analyse when suigetsu give a scroll to suke and tell him we can rule the world then that must be the tobi jutsu about the moon and then i analyse they said they search in every hideout so what if they get that from orochimaru hideout then must mean only one thing tobi is a secret experiment creation from orochimaru!!! that is because he have first hokage cells ( zetsu body it have first hokage cell) and why he knows so much about the sage and madara live an everything that long past history is because he is like a clone of madara he had his memory but he his not him... that would explain why so much hatred and why he tell naruto i am no one because he is just nobody and heres a questione if you are the only one human in the world and the others are robot how do you feel belive me not special so there it is tobi hatred ohhh and maybe 2 can be tobi is a fusion of 3 person orochimaru, madara, zetsu

i hate all these yin yang crap, it has nothing to with that....but the white zetsu molded within a limbless tobi is true in my opinion, that is why he is able to live longer and use izangi (white zetsu=1st hokage cells)
