this is just a thought, and im not sure if its been said.

i feel like silly tobi was a way for obito to have a childhood. i dont know if kishi will explain how he had different personalities or a cover personality but i bet madara made him train extremely hard so obito lost his childhood and thats what silly tobi was. just a thought.

I think Kishi wants us to think that it was all a facade, but i somewhat agree, because Obito's childhood was taken away he let loose later in life, and used that to his advantage... however that would imply Obito isn't actually all that bad, so there's another think for you to think about

yes but why a childish character? it could have been any personality. kisame could have been the leader and no one would have suspected. so i feel like it was to let out the kid in him because he didnt get that chance.
