tobi fought hashirama and used izangai to escape
the battle in critical condition with most of his
powers locked away but gaining new ones in return(the rinnegan).
Madara gave him his eyes.A plan was hatched and they fought Hashirama once more in one of the many civil wars raging on at that time and defeated him which sparked the first shinobi world war.
(I assume the conversation the young onoki had with madara in the flashback in the beginning of the kage fight with madara was right before the first world war when his plan was already in motion)
The 2nd probably made the impure world intended to resurrect his brother but due to the reaction from most countries and himself i guess ? not really sure but anyway most thought it was
an atrocity against the flow of life and death
so he decided not to use it anymore although
at the same time tobi was using his dna for his own needs.
The uzamaki clan are slain and remaining members flee to other countries.
madara dies in the war as well but another plan is hatched or was already part of the plan is set in motion at that time as well.
the 2nd dies in the war leaving Hiruzen to rule
who takes the eventual dubb sannin shinobi
under his wing (orochimaru a genius of his generation disbands but not before
delving into experiments with the 1rst dna
that the 2nd was unwilling to do and expirements with danzo and eventually even makes a albeit watered down wood stlye clone
of the first he goes unaware of this for some time before actually encountering him since he left konaha before the test were all finished
he was the only positive result the rest of the shinobi died in the process
the second war begins to brew tobi plants the rinnegan into a young nagato one of the few shinobi with the right bloodline
to use the eyes.
(to take the heat off him so he can work in the shadows and start his recruiting phase for his impending actions
which is to capture the tailed beast.
The 3rd war sets off
this is the war that involved most of the shinobi
tobi would later recruit seeing as how everyone has finally made themselves a name and are processed int he bingo book and the history provided on akatski by the members themselves proves this .nagato is older creates akatski discovers pain.the war settles.
sometime after the fourth reigns.tobi obtains the fox and tries to fight the fourth stripped of the fox he retreats.the fourth dies hiruzen is back in power. the uchiha going through a rebellious stage are watched
tobi with itachi kills the uchiha clan
to prevent a war on itachi's part and revenge on tobi's though it might of also been to cover his tracks and throw dirt on the history even.'
