the way sage mode sensing works is that he can sense chakra about him, plus his speed is amped up pretty significantly ( i think he's only been hit twice in sm, and that was by the juubi to save kakashi, and when he let nagato pierce him). his reaction speed is probably the best along with Ay's, Minato's, and dsm Kabutos. so a linear or even non-linear attack is very easy to avoid for naruto. on the other hand, minato can teleport anywhere he wants in a specific radius around a mark, which makes things much more tricky as minato will essentially appear at a random point in naruto's sensing field. I think it's quite possible for Naruto to dodge those attacks, but it will be on a whole different level of difficulty from even say the third raikage's attacks imo.

How do you guys know you can't detect his teleportation. perhaps the seals do something very minor before he teleports there so if perception is good enough, you could predict the location.

In Sm mode Naruto sense chakra around so he should sense Minato, however once he use FTG Naruto can no longer sense him as stated by Shino.

The situation was the same, Shino could sense Tobi since he had bugs on him but as soon as he used S/T ninjutsu, he has no idea. The same will be true for Naruto and without his ability to sense the only thing Naruto can do is anticipate were Minato would go and we'll seen with the Ay that doesn't lead you into a good situation.

FTG by itself isn't much of a threat. However, if it's user has attacks that can damage a TSM user then it become one. Although Naruto has TSM, which increases durability greatly, an FTG user like Minato has sealing techs, rasengan, and probably more damaging techs so it becomes very dangerous and puts Naruto at a very bad position, most probably losing against him.

FTG wouldn't be useless but SM would allow a even counter attack.
